At southern maching and B&M its a job shop so i did what ever came through the door that needed to be done.Also set up machine lathe and mills ran a different job everyday.Did most work on manual mills and lathe however because its a job shop I get some work done as it comes through the front door. Have to get own material, grind, and heat treat and test rock well hardness.

Sharpen drills and end mills daily.

Mix coolant for machines and check concentric using profolometer.

Take cnc machines apart sometimes to line turret back up when it gets knocked out.

Read and comprehend metric and inch blueprints. Make a lot of steps and tables from raw material and use shear also as welding. Use manual indexer when doing bolt hole circles and use harbor press a lot.

Ran 5 axis milling machines SUMAG.

Set-up fixtures and jigs to help operators safely get jobs done easier with better production.

Inspected the 136 checkpoint and thread gages on the Fiat heads we were making on the machines

Worked in auto punch press machine area and changed out dies and punches and set-up machine to puch out parts, which included lining up all punches with dies and setting cams on machine to index part to next progression stag need for part.

Worked in grinding dept. and ran id and OD grinders sometimes had to work on robotics used to load part in machine and also made adj. to keep part inspect.

Read blue prints and took classes needed to run and secessfully pass inorder to run cnc and set-up and assemble heads.

Talley Metals

Ran roller machine in shapes dept.

Had to read and understand schematics to machines to keep it all in timing mostly with electrical plc boards and get a good striaght run off . Checked material grade and packaged and shipped good bar.

Prepraed rod to be ran which needed acid bath and pointing and had to dial in speed of roller and bar feed to get good material.

it was a job shop so i done what ever the boss needed just as u did at my two previous part time jobs and B&M tooling and Southern Maching.

sometimes i worked and built dies at B&M and ran production parts to put in dies

SPECIAL SKILLS

Took classes in cpr and blood borne pathogens

Trained Tow Motor driver and fork lift starlift and boom operator.

Took and passed all 3 work keys test and unemployment office.

Very mechanically inclined and good at trouble shooting weather it be electrical or mechanical.

Can weld steel and aluminum and also work well with training and supervising others.

At superior maching I worked on manual machines. I preformed work on equipment in steel producing mills all over the United States and sometimes went out with field service groups to do millwright work. It varied grime job to job and I had to think on my feet to get the job done. Also had to repaired machines and tooling used to machine th e product being made.
