I have *+ years of experience as an emergency room nurse in over ten hospitals across the United States. I have been a travel nurse for many years which has allowed me to immerse myself in diverse demographics and challenging environments. Recently, I obtained my FNP Licensure and settled in South Florida in hopes to serve local communities as an advanced practice provider. ER NURSE, Broward Health Imperial Point Sept 2019- Present Fort Lauderdale, FL 23-week contract as travel nurse in 18+ bed unit. Busy ER with large population of psychiatric illness, homeless, and drug abuse/overdose patients. High acuity of elderly patients with advanced chronic diseases such as COPD, CHF and diabetes. Asked to extend 10 weeks, after completing a 13-week contract during busy season. ER NURSE, Providence Health Aug 2017-2019 Columbia, SC Responsibilities included caring for acutely ill patients in an urban, 18+ bed ED. High volume of adult and geriatric cardiac patients. Served as triage, fast track and charge nurse all while supervising staff and providing dependable teamwork.

ER NURSE, Wake Med Garner Jan 2017- July 2017 Raleigh, NC Free standing ED in a rural area with 12 acute-bed unit. Duties included rapid assessment and delivery of quality care to pediatric and adult patients. In addition to care of patients in the main ED, I served as occasional triage and fast-track nurse, working and treating patients exclusively with a mid-level provider. ER NURSE, Duke University Hospital Oct 2016-Jan 2017 Durham, NC 13-week travel nurse contract at busy Level I Trauma Center with extremely high acuity of adult patients including LVAD’s, organ transplant and sickle cell clients. Performed routine care of psychiatric patients and 23-hour observation patients.

ER NURSE, San Francisco General Hospital July 2016-Oct 2016 San Francisco, CA 13-week travel nurse contract at a Level I Trauma Center in a fast-paced ED with a diverse demographic, including many foreign, Non-English-speaking patients. Rotated shifts in adult ED, pediatric ED and rapid care/vertical III unit. Served as preceptor to train new travel nurses to the unit. ER NURSE, Honor Health Deer Valley April 2016-June 2016 Phoenix, AZ 13-week travel nurse contract at a Level III Trauma Center in rural area. Nursing duties included compassionate care to adults with acute illnesses including frequent drug overdoses and extreme heat exposure. Frequent care of clients with acute and chronic psychiatric diagnoses. ER NURSE, Prisma Health Richland Nov 2015-March 2016 Columbia, SC Level I Trauma Center in busy metropolitan area, caring for adults with high acuity including ventilators, arterial and central lines, emergency dialysis, LVAD care, medication drips and orthopedic trauma care. ER NURSE, Prisma Health Baptist Parkridge Aug 2014-Nov 2015 Columbia, SC Delivered patient-centered care to adults and pediatric patients in a rural ED. Performed all tasks based on evidence-based practice. Participated in staff development committee to develop standard operations to implement on the unit.
