Technical and Commercial responsibilities as an Senior Estimator:

Study/review tender documents to enable management to take design to bid or no bid.

Preparing brief scope of work, built-up area, approximate value of the project, major items, contractual details and list of competitors etc.

Tendering activity schedule consist of the general team action list to the tender submission requirement.

Visiting the site to analysis the existing conditions, the distance between the office, camp to the site, material availability, existing utility services etc.

Study in brief for the tender i.e. Drawings, Specifications & BOQ, and Contract Conditions / Division of Work (in case of JV).

Study/review tender documents for each Bid and identify the missing document / information.

Generate technical queries and compile the proper contract documents.

Prepare and send RFQ’s to Subcontractors and suppliers to option their price input.

Evaluating BOQ, Specification & quantity take-off from drawings for pricing.

RFI's are Identified and collected from contacted subcontractors, grouped together as per client format send to the client / consultant to get the missing and more detailed information.

Evaluation of subcontractors and supplier’s technical & commercial proposals and making comparative for affective pricing.

Negotiating the discounted price from major subcontractor and suppliers

Detailed analysis of first principle basis for self-performed activity

Handling design related activities coming across in the project.

Carrying out cost savings proposals to client through Value Engineering methods.

Attending the client meetings and discuss various issues in the project.

Tender settlement sheet includes trade description, net amount & discounted amount, mark-ups & the selling amount

Preparing Technical & Commercial proposal for Tender submission within time frame.

Details study and response to the Post Tender Clarifications (PTC)

Prepare the complete set of Tender documents and handover to the project team

Preparing the Target Budget based on the management instruction and issuing to Operations department & Cost control Department for monitoring the project.
