Education

1989 – 1993 Petroleum Geology Engineer (Bsc.), from National Institute of Hydrocarbons and Chemistry (I.N.H.C.), Boumerdes – Algeria, June 1993.

Thesis: Perspective of Hydrocarbon in the Lower Cretaceous Reservoir of "Ain Beida" area (Algeria).

The subject was to investigate hydrocarbon potential of the Ain Beida area in East of Algiers. The Carbonate reservoir located in the South- East Canstantine Basin is in Lower Cretaceous. I used geochemistry concepts, sedimentology and petrography to understand the petroleum system and petrophysical networks to evaluate reservoir quality. Generated several cross-sections, mapping and sedimentological composite logs to evaluate hydrocarbon potential.

1985 – 1989 Military navy School, Algiers, Algeria 1989.

Senior Technician in Maritime Navigation (Diploma).

I attended military navy school for 4 years training to be an officer. I learned several kinds of navigation techniques, such as Esteem, coastal and astronomical navigation. The major part of my instruction was focused on the techniques required to lead personnel as an officer, and on the tactics of maritime fighting.

1981 – 1985 Military Secondary School, Algiers.

Science Baccalaureate Degree, June 1985.

Professional Experience

2016 - Present: Algeria Energy Regulator: National Agency for the Valorization of

Hydrocarbon Resources "ALNAFT" (Algiers – Algeria)

Senior Reservoir Geologist

Promote investment in hydrocarbon exploration and production through the authorization to prospect that we give to any investor who

requests one.

Provide approval of the Field Development Plans (FDP) for each new

discovery.

Supervise regional Exploration and Developement study on Unconventionel Reservoirs (shale oil/gas and tigth Reservoirs) on Algerian Sahara Plateforme with Beicip-Franlab.

Supervise Exploration study on Conventional and Unconventional Reservoirs on Tellian Basins of North-Est Algeria basin with Schlumberger.

2014 – June 2015: Weatherford Petroleum Consulting (Dubai – UAE)

Senior Region Geo-Modeller Petroleum Consulting – MENA

Involved in Static Reservoir Geomodeling in Messla Libya Geant Field

“4D Seismic. Integrated Reservoir Modeling and Simulation of the

Messla Field”.

I was in charge of creating stochastic Facies Modeling, petrophysical

modeling using acoustic impedance as secondary trend, Water

Saturation Modeling and volumetric calculations STOIIP including

uncertainty analysis.

2013 – 2014 Weatherford Petroleum Consulting (Kuala Lumpur – Malaysia)

Senior Region Geo-Modeller Petroleum Consulting – Asia Pacific.

Three (3) Reservoirs have been modelled, J19L, J20U and J20L which are the main Reservoirs in offshore peninsular Malaysia Ophir Field.

Hydrocarbon-in-place (STOIIP and GIIP) volumes have been calculated and parameter sensitivities have been assessed for the field, using probabilistic Monte Carlo at P90, P50 and P10 levels.

Same Geomodeling workflow has been done for SW Emerald offshore Malysian Field.

Involved to conduct the project work for Idemitsu Oil & Gas Co., Ltd. in well correlation with reservoir zonation and interpretation of Dai Nguyet Structure Offshore, Vietnam. Neural Network Technique was used to estimate the litho-facies based on relationship between log response and specific litho-facies inferred from core description. Finally, petrophysical evaluations have been carried out for the Dai Nguyet Structure wells.

2011 – 2012 Total E&P Congo, Pointe Noire

Senior Reservoir Geologist: Geomodeling on offshore field.

In charge of "KOMBI" offshore field. The purpose is to review and evaluate hydrocarbon potential (STOIIP and GIIP) of Cenomanian and Albian reservoirs (mixture: carbonate and clastic environment).

2006 – 2011 Mabruk Oil Operations Company (Joint Venture Libya NOC and Total Group @ Tripoli)

Senior Reservoir Geologist: Geomodeling on onshore fields.

Responsible for conducting geological modeling studies of "Dahra formation". They are Carbonate "Dahra" Reservoirs, characterized by lagoonal, coralgal and outer shelf environments, located in the Libyan Sirt basin. I was involved from appraisal well stages to field development plan (FDP). I also perform STOOIP calculations based on SCAL measurements (Capillary pressure curves) in different scenarios (Proved, Probable and Possible). I am also involved in the modeling and design/optimization of horizontal wells. I worked within an integrated team with geophysicists, log analysts and reservoir engineers.

1997 – 2006 Sonatrach-Agip Groupment (Joint Venture Sonatrach – Eni @ Hassi Messaoud, Algeria)

Junior/Senior Reservoir Geologist: Geomodeling on Berkine basin clastic onshore fields.

Responsible for creating Reservoir Static Models in Berkine Basin, on several fields (403 Bir Rebaa block: BRN, BRSW, BRW, ROM, ZEK and ZEA). Fluvial and continental clastic environment (Lower Triassic and Paleozoic). Involved in the modeling of horizontal wells. I used "Tigress" software (GPS) "cluster analysis" module to characterize different rock-types based on sedimentological core descriptions. I used "Petrel" to build reservoir structural framework and petrophysical parameters distribution using a Geostatistical approach.

1996 – 1997 Sonatrach Production Company (Hassi Messaoud, Algeria)

Junior Reservoir Geologist: On-job training: Formation Evaluation of El Merk (EME-1) well in Berkine Basin.

The main objective was to evaluate the EME-1 (El Merk-1) from the petrophysical point of view with help of "Elan" Shclumberger software. The reservoir is a fluvial environment of TAGI (Trias Argileux- Gréseux Inférieur).

The interpretation of results is to have an overview of hydrocarbon potential perspective in EME area.
