Responsible for providing 18 years of extensive and effective customer service, administrative support and procedures coordination to the Vehicle Titling/Registration Department with Travis County.

Customer Service - Duties include assisting external and internal customers with vehicle titling and registration rules and regulations, property tax payments, and addressing any related questions or problems. In this role I assist numerous walk-in customers and telephone customers on a daily basis.

Accounting/Administrative Services – Processing the balancing of cash register receipts, checks, and charges to ensure accuracy of daily reports, set up the paperwork for title hearings, and bonded titles. Processed daily overnight packages, incoming inquiries concerning processed paperwork and paperwork to be processed submitted by banks, dealerships, titling agencies, credit union, and customers.

Lead Support - Serve as lead support to disseminate information to public and other employees concerning proper knowledge, training and understanding of laws, rules, and regulations for vehicle titling, and registration of vehicles, provide assistance in writing procedures for special projects. I also provide assistance to clerks and the supervisor with handing difficult situations and trouble shooting.

Computer Report Services - Eighteen years of processing daily county use of Registration Titling System (RTS), Novell and Windows systems, and personal computers. Staff Development/OJT (On the Job Training) – Researched, developed and presented information and materials for training purposes, train new hire employees on registration course, and provide in-service training to tenured employees on work-related updates, policy and procedures, and new laws and requirements by the state legislature.

Responsible for registration, titling, and transferring of new/used vehicles to ensure accuracy and completeness, processed and submitted complete funding packages to lenders for prompt payment on contracts, oversaw all incoming and outgoing titles for inventory purchases and sales; including wholesale and auction transactions and dealer trades, and handled draft deposits, returns and check payments for purchases and payoffs of vehicles.

Communication - Worked closely with finance managers, sales personnel, and other employees and provided ongoing customer service for walk-in and telephone customers.

Administration Services - Other duties included responding electronically to inquiries and provided data input of inventory on the CRV software system, requested duplicate titles, lien releases and corrections forms (for transportation headquarters, lending institutions, dealers/dealerships, and customers), conducted administrative services such as faxing, responding to emails, making copies and completing overnight forms.

Responsible for the daily ordering of titles from the Corporate Office, released the company’s interest on titles to be forwarded to the lessee, and completed the execution of Power of Attorney authorization letters, bill of sale and odometer statements. Duties also included: preparing the necessary paperwork for vehicles to be properly titled and registered in all 50 states, filed paperwork for UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) on equipment leases, and handled the execution of payoffs for vehicles at the end of the lease term or early termination. Routine duties included: accounts payable, customer service, and lease administration.

Primary duties consisted of assisting the public with title and registration of motor vehicles, handing incoming dealer title work and incoming mail, prepared state reports for vehicle titling/registration and daily data reports, and operated the cash register.
