A privately held company in the Better For You snacks space with 2018 revenues of $13 million. Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer, Los Angeles, CA (10/17 to present) Responsible for all aspects of Finance, Supply Chain and Sales Operations. Led a team of 6 people.

Launched World Peas® Peatos™ nationally with Kroger in May 2018. Led turnkey co-packer business model with negative working capital. $3+ million in sales in first 8 months with over 4,000 stores by the end of 2018. Discontinued legacy World Peas® products in December 2018, improving margins and simplifying the supply chain.

Sold Sunkist® licensed trail mix business in October 2018. Led due diligence, financial modeling, contract review, TSA and earnout agreement development. This brand represented 95% of company sales in Q1 2018 (prior to the launch of Peatos™). Used proceeds from sale to execute a share redemption to reduce outstanding equity units by one third and reduce debt.

A global Fortune 500 Company and one of the world’s largest consumer packaged food manufacturers with over $13B in sales. Chief Financial Officer, Kashi Company, San Diego, CA (9/14 to 10/17) Responsible for partnering with the CEO to restore top and bottom line growth for four U.S. brands (Kashi, Bear Naked, Stretch Island, Pure Organic) with $300+ million in Sales as part of a business turnaround. Lead the strategic planning process for the company, as well as Financial Planning & Analysis and P&L management.

Recruited and developed a new Finance Team to support the re-establishment of Kashi as a standalone company in California.

Implemented a commercial team structure which is aligned to brands and categories.

Implemented Zero Based Budgeting at Kashi, utilizing software developed by McKinsey to deliver significant savings by increasing visibility and accountability.

Developed and supported the business case to purchase the “Pure Organic” brand in 2016.

Results include quarterly sales growth in 2017 after several years of decline, and enhanced operating profit margins. Led the development of the financials and reporting process for Project K, a $1.4 billion, four year global restructuring program at Kellogg announced in October 2013. Led company efforts to redefine comparable sales, profit and EPS performance to reflect a Project K restructuring program, currency fluctuations and changes in pension accounting.

Delivered on Kellogg’s currency-neutral earnings guidance in 2013 despite a challenging business environment. THE PROCTER & GAMBLE COMPANY (6/2007 to 6/2012) [NYSE: PG] A global Fortune 50 Company and one of the world’s largest consumer goods manufacturers with over $65B in sales. Chief Financial Officer, North American Pringles, Cincinnati, OH (2/11 to 6/12) Responsible for profit delivery for P&G’s Pringles business in NA ($600+ million in sales).

Led financial planning process, including annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, 3 year innovation portfolio sufficiency checks, setting customer team funding levels, and initiative ROI analysis.

Restored gross margins on Pringles via pricing, down-weighting and supply chain savings after high commodity inflation.

Plant Controller, Pringles, Jackson, TN (6/07 to 2/11) Plant Controller for P&G’s Pringles manufacturing and distribution facility in Jackson, TN (37 acres under roof). Responsible for budget control, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Added responsibility for overall cost management of North American Pringles supply chain operations (Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Distribution) during mid-point of assignment.

Helped lead the implementation of High Performance Work Systems and Lean Manufacturing techniques at Jackson, which became the top-rated P&G manufacturing facility in North America (among approximately 50 plants). FEDEX EXPRESS (2005 to 2007) [NYSE: FDX]

The largest company under parent FedEx, with global overnight package delivery and related services revenue of over $26B. Senior Financial Analyst, International Operations, Memphis, TN As lead financial analyst on international expansion business cases, was responsible for developing the P&L, cash flows, risks and opportunities for these business cases, and presenting the results to executive management of FedEx Express.

Specific projects included transatlantic and round the world flight additions, intra-European jet service expansion, evaluation of potential aircraft fleet additions, and jet fuel surcharge and hedging opportunities.

Initiated the trial of new financial modeling techniques for evaluating investments in strategic initiatives at FedEx Express. Led the business case to expand international service from Europe to the U.S.

Heavily involved in long range aircraft fleet planning. Capital expenditures on aircraft exceeded $1B per year. F&S INDUSTRIES, INC. (2001 to 2005)
