IT Program Manager Consultant

Collaborative leader tasked with providing strategic IT leadership and advisement to senior management of this $1.8BN petroleum and natural gas exploration company. Accountable for directing mission-critical initiatives with tactical vision to ensure bottom line success while reducing spend, fortifying security and governance, ensuring business continuity, and improving manageability.

Challenged to evolve the company to next-generation performance levels while also managing a $30MM program budget that includes Network Infrastructure and Security projects. Work closely with HPE, Accenture and ABB teams ensuring alignment with all capital expenditure and operating expenditure objectives.

Introduced the ‘Network as a Service Model,’ presented IT vision, solutions, and strategic roadmap to CIO and Executive Steering Committee and secured buy-in for implementation.

Identified and sourced vendors built actionable roadmaps for scalable software and hardware architectures and infrastructures.

Implemented Security Policies globally using Global Protect functionality of Palo Alto for all sites at Murphy. Replaced the ZScaler security tool with Palo Alto that is a next-gen security tool that safely enables applications and prevent Cyber breaches.

Replaced Silverpeak with Riverbed as Riverbed Steelhead functionality optimized the network traffic with low bandwidth usage especially the field sites in Midland, TX and Eagle Ford Shale sites.

Implemented Mesh Solution installing wireless radios at 800 + Oil Well sites in Eagle Ford Shale site that upgraded the network in the field and provided redundant network coverage at each and every oil well site based in EFS.
