(14) injection molding production lines using various types of plastic copolymers were used for its products including ABS, PTFE, PPC, HIPS, PS and PC. After molding, various products would need further assembly through Ultra sonic welding, spin friction welding and mechanical fastening. After the event of 9/11 tower attack the industry took a huge down turn and the company’s gross sales shrank in half 2012. We retained the same net profit as the prior year. The company CEO at the annual budget meeting stated he didn’t understand how our net profit was still high, the CFO responded by attributing the credit to me and new Supply Chain policies and procedures I had implemented was the result of the savings and profits.

BioMeriux Inc. Hazelwood MO. / An infectious disease control company supplying the medical and food industries with advanced In vitro testing kits. This company was a spin-off of McDonnell Douglas to provide In vitro medical test kits for NASA astronauts. BioMeriux is a French owned company with US sales at that time of over 200 million dollars.
This company used PC and PS plastics in building a component sub assemble to capture body fluids for medical testing. The process also included bonding different plastic films to the component to control or inhibited the O2 permeability, once completed an aluminum/HDPE bonded pouch was assembled around the component and thermo sealed to prevent shelf life degradation from moisture and oxygen.
