Experience

Head Cook, Tasiursivik Daycare; Salluit, Quebec – May 2016 – September 2016, June 2017 – August 2017, December 2018 – December 2019

While working as the head cook for Tasiursivik Daycare, I was responsible for every meal that the children ate while attending the daycare. I followed the rules and regulations set by the government regarding food safety and food preparation. During my shifts I would also be making the preparations for the next day. I was in charge of 12 supervisors and 79 staff members. I was also responsible for ensuring the kitchen needs, such as ordering food and kitchen supplies as well as ensuring Safety Standards were followed at all times. I have Children’s Basic First Aid, and my MAPAQ certification from the Government of Quebec.

Relief Teacher, Kativik School Board; Kangiqsujuaq, Quebec – September 2016 – May 2017

While working as a replacement teacher, I was given the responsibility of teaching seventh grade English, science, social science and art. I was also given the additional responsibility of teaching social sciences to Secondary 1-5 students. I was responsible for creating my own lesson plans and developing the abilities and intelligence of all my students, following the directions and mandates of the School Board and the Minister of Education.

I started as a stock person and was promoted to supervisor in 6 months, after 6 months I was promoted to Manager. I supervised 8 department managers, as well as 10 supervisors and a total staff of 120. I grew sales by 12% by the time the company was sold.

Baker, Metro Inc; Ottawa, Ontario – November 2011 – March 2013

While working in the bakery, I spoke with customers on a daily basis. I assisted them with deciding what baked goods they needed, based off of their tastes and preferences. I was also responsible for filling out the bakery order form and was given additional responsibilities in organizing and stocking the shelves with products. I ensured that products were properly rotated and priced during each of my shifts.
