This solution was implemented to resolve the issue of small branch offices having expensive network infrastructure in place with high bandwidth costly MPLS data circuits. This required collaboration with VMWARE Specialists and virtual desktop specialists. This project was in partnership with HP ZeroClient desktop division.

Infrastructure Project Management on several Datacenter build from Ground Up, moves and DR Sites, throughout North America. This required the assessment of each site and gather requirements to build the next site from new or existing building facilities. Utilizing SDLC process applied towards hardware network infrastructure deliverables. With over 650 office moves, from large datacenters to small offices of 50 users, my experience required me to identify dependencies, create architecture designs with various teams and keep close attention to external vendors / contractors. Keeping communications clear with project sponsors with state and deadlines. Implementation of Avaya VOIP at each site along with all new network switches as well as Wireless access point implementation. The hardware was mainly Cisco network infrastructure, Riverbed Steelhead CX770 and Avaya Gateway IP Telephony systems.

Project Manager on SQL to CLOUD Project. This project is the implementation Cloud Solution on the Legacy TYCO Network. This required the integration of AZURE Cloud and AWS Cloud and the migration of mixed environment SQL 2003, 2008 2012 to a cloud based solution, Due to the complexities of each application and database project team had to adapt a mixed Cloud solution. 500+ SQL Databases were migrated successfully Project required careful analysis of key sites and assessments of the ROI for each site. Prepared PowerPoint presentations to upper management to capitalize project. Execute plan, keep within scope and budget. Worked with network engineers, Servers administrators and DBA’s, to plan efficiently with minimal downtime. Delivered within timeframe and budget and lowered operating costs.

Project Manager on the PC Refresh Project. This Project was to upgrade existing 40,000 workstations with new DELL Laptop computers. This project required 20 different base images for the many different departments across the North American and European networks. I worked closely with the DeskSide services teams and the SCCM Deployment teams to create the base images and to deliver in large roll out deployments. This required mixed matrix teams to handle the ongoing projects. The images were Windows10 based but also required modifications to accommodate the existing software, also worked with the HVD team to keep the legacy software running without fail. Project delivered within budget.

Project Manager on the DATA Center build from ground up, and migration from Westminster MA DataCenter to Suwanee Georgia (PDC1) cutting edge dedicated facility. Coordinated up to 20 dedicated resources and close to 1000 application / servers. Oversaw project management, budgeting, reporting, disaster recovery, migration planning, vendor selection, and domain/email transitions amongst other complex applications. Worked with Legal and Finance departments to create transitional service agreement, and directed the transition of resources to new roles. Prepared reports and scorecards for senior management. This required the replacement of the server platform to new black box appliance type device in which all security aspects are to remain intact on the high visibility project. Implementation of 10 internet facing devices in a parallel environment in DEV, STG, UAT until ready for PROD cutover. SOX compliancy was an upmost priority in which TAM did not provide in the past. Delivered from charter, build, implementation and Go Live.

Project Manager on HVD DR Project. I worked with 18 resources to implement the full solution from server build, to migration of hardware and software. This was to implement a full Desktop recovery environment of 1000 HVD. Not only for DR but also for business continuity. Implementation of HVD DR was delivered with the resources in a mixed matrix environment. Project was delivered on time and budget. From Charter, Build, Implementation, GO Live, and cut over into production servers. I moved the environment into Steady State environment.

Creating an infrastructure solely dedicated to the SCCM 2012 R2 environment. 23 Servers in all for PPD, UAT PROD through which a new information system reassess from conception to implementation. All of the activities involved with creating and operating an information system, from the planning phase and/or the initial concept to the point at which the system is installed in a production environment. Such servers have increased the time to build and deploy software patches to all servers and workstations at CN. All servers were delivered on time and budget. From Charter, Build, Implementation, GO Live, into production servers. The complexities were the multiple applications and cross domain deployments.

Creation of the DR Team Implementations. This consists of High Availability and Disaster Recovery teams to bring in production environments to a solid DR plan. Management of these teams requires excellent knowledge of the server builds and the applications. Working with server, architect and application specialists in a mixed matrix environment to coordinate, test, test failover and document the entire process, while keeping budget, scope and timelines in check. Over 20 projects were brought into production with these specialized teams.

This project consists on implementing 8 Windows Server 2008 environments into a 16 Blade server enclosure with 28 virtual environments. The CheckPoint suite of applications is currently running the highly respected encryption software all of the National Bank of Canada worldwide. The level of complexities covers the Traders, Branches, laptops, desktops and also all new hardware entering the NBFG network environment. Implementation of Checkpoint was delivered with the resources in a mixed matrix environment. Project was delivered on time and budget. From Charter, Build, Implementation, GO Live, and cut over into production servers. Moved the application into Steady State environment.

Project Manager on MS Outlook/ Exchange Project. I worked with 18 resources to implement the full solution from server build, to migration of hardware and software. This was to implement MS Outlook to replace IBM Lotus Notes email servers and services to NBFG (National Bank Financial Group) environment at large. 18,000 email accounts migrated seamlessly into new server environment and client software interface. . Implementation of Ms Outlook was delivered with the resources in a mixed matrix environment. Project was delivered on time and budget. From Charter, Build, Implementation, GO Live, and cut over into production servers. I moved the environment into Steady State environment.

Project Leader on the EverGreen Project. This Project was to upgrade existing 11,000 workstations with new HP Desktop computers. This project required 14 different base images for the many different departments across the National Bank of Canada network. I worked closely with the DeskSide services teams and the SCCM Deployment teams to create the base images and to deliver in large roll out deployments. This required mixed matrix teams to handle the on going projects. The images were Windows 7 and XP based but also required modifications to accommodate the Bank’s existing software, also worked with the Citrix team to keep the legacy software running without fail. Project delivered within budget.

Project Manager on the implementation of Multiple Applications on the NBFG network. Creating a series of phases through which a new information system reassess from conception to implementation. All of the activities involved with creating and operating an information system, from the planning phase and/or the initial concept to the point at which the system is installed in a production environment. Such applications were the implementation of Essbase, Query Tool, Switftnet, Airwatch etc. All application projects were delivered on time and budget. Creation of the GDOC Team Implementations. This consists of High Availability and Disaster Recovery teams to bring in production environments to a solid DR plan. Management of these teams requires excellent knowledge of the server builds and the applications. Working with server, architect and application specialists in a mixed matrix environment to coordinate, test, test failover and document the entire process, while keeping budget, scope and timelines in check. Over 20 projects were brought into production with these specialized teams.

Project Manager on Active Directory Migration Upgrade Project. I directed the implementation of “RES Domain” for the entire Active Directory network environment for National Bank of Canada. This required new hardware, software upgrades for the Microsoft network environment. The installation of Microsoft Cluster Services and DNS Servers software to create the High Availability environment. The upgrade was a mixed environment of Windows 2000, 2003 to 2008 Advanced Server. This required Change Management intervention, Remedy tickets, work with change approval teams at both BANK and IBM, Project summary financial reports with upper management at both IBM and Bank. The RES Domain was created to replace the previous primary domain, thus migrating over 18,000 workstations to the new trusted domain and phase out previous domain. This project was delivered on budget and ahead of time. From Charter, Build, Implementation, GO Live.

CSSSL - Cite De la Santé Hospital January 2007 – January 2010

Position: IT Director / Senior Project Manager / Analyst

Responsibilities:

Implementation Analyst on Elekta EMR and CHARTMaxx EMR.

Oversee 22 employees and $14 million budget in improving operating performance of application processing, server application support, and IT customer service. Orchestrate many project teams in improving process components; manage each project team while initiating planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects. Provide ongoing project analysis, mitigate “scope creep,” communicate project status, identify and resolve project issues and constraints. Other responsibilities include documentation, work flow management, Vendor management – RFI/RFP, system definition, contract negotiations, manage team meeting/conferences, Visio diagrams, progress reports, and statements of work, clear communication and progress presentations to directors, issuing work orders, delegate best resources for tasks, plan deliverables, and budget management.

Project Manager on CICL Centre Intégrée de Cancérologie de Laval. Implementation with existing hospital software with the Elekta Software family of cancer care products – pathology data to cancer registry, pathology reports to the oncology EMR, and oncology EMR data to cancer registry, streamlining the flow of information among the entire cancer care team. My team consists of 22 first and second level support technicians, over 3000 PC stations and peripherals plus over 280 servers of different platforms in 18 offices/clinics province wide.

Project Manager on the implementation of complex MOSAIQ Application Suite. – The project consists on implementing 6 Windows Server 2003 environments into a 16 Blade server enclosure with 28 virtual environments. The Mosaiq suite of applications is currently running the cancer care unit for the region of Laval. The level of complexities covers the appointments, right down to cancer tumor treatment, dosages controlled with pharmacy and imaging database storage. Implementation of Elekta EMR solution. Also worked together with Phillips Pinnacle3, Project delivered on time and budget. From Charter, Build, Implementation, GO Live.

Project Manager on Elekta Oncology CPOE; Computerized physician order entry for radiation oncology including template based care plans to automate the complex radiation therapy prescriptions and supportive care plans. I worked with physicians and cancer care specialists to customize software databases and other interfaces to successfully implement CPOE with the Elekta suite. I provide ongoing support to the physicians and other team members.

Managed the installation of Logibec CliniBase Ci, software for patient admissions. Centralized across the network of clinics and the hospital of Laval. This required new hardware databases, new software upgrades and faster networks from remote offices. This project was delivered on budget and ahead of time. Implementation of new SAN hardware, to recuperate our existing SAN’s throughout the hospital and implementing new more efficient enterprise SAN solution with redundant remote office setup. Managed the installation of Chartmaxx EMR, software for patient record keeping. Centralized across the network of clinics and the hospital of Laval. Implemented new software for voice dictation, medical transcription, working in conjunction with Artefacte RADImage, Mosaiq PACS, McKesson HMI PACS. From Charter, Build, Implementation, GO Live.

Directed the installation of EBIZ, software for HL7 interfacing with many hospital software applications. This required new hardware databases, new software upgrades and faster networks from remote offices. This project was delivered on budget and ahead of time. Installation of new PACS in radiology department, McKesson Horizon Medical Imaging solution required a full migration of existing data into new structure with minimal downtime. I merged 3 clinics to maximize the use of new PACS, thus reducing costs and reducing specialized staff at multiple locations. I coordinated training for educating PACS Administrator, super users, and other medical professionals. Replacing the Siemens PACS involved re- negotiating service level agreements, implementing temporary hardware to support migration and implementing new hardware in a robust redundant SAN environment. AVON Products Inc. December 2003 – January 2007

Position: Senior Infrastructure Project Manager

Leading a team of technicians in implementing Information System in a Clustered / VMWARE environment. Manage the complex network over three time zones and create standardized workstation and server platforms across the company. Implementation of SAN, NAS solutions. IBM Tivoli Storage Manager Tape Library, Lotus Notes and Disaster Recovery plan. Total workstation included 50,000 PC stations and over 180 servers of different platforms in 8-satellite offices worldwide.

The identical storage device was created to have a redundant copy the live data. Furthermore the NAS acts a SAN in which the other servers on the network connect to the drives using ISCSI. Thus reducing down time and increase performance.

Installation of new Network hardware such as CISCO Routers, in conjunction with T1 and ISDN Lines connected to the Internet and our own private network- VPN. Pre wiring CAT 5, and Fiber Optic networking products, switches, Routers T1, T3, DSL, punch tools etc.

Revised the existing network infrastructure and implemented a mass rollout across Canada 5,000 new workstations onto Windows 2000 platform, for a seamless complex network integration.

Coordinated several office moves, this work consisted of pre wiring floors/ building, network and hardware design, telephone lines. Etc.

Installation of various peripherals, including laser printers, fax modems, CD-ROM’s, network cards, RAM, hard drives eIDE & SCSI onto workstations and servers. Hands on, technical repair on computers in for upgrade / malfunction.
