The Enviro-Maids is a professional, eco-friendly cleaning service that offers residential housecleaning services to clients located in the Ottawa area.

Owner and Operational Manager

Clean houses using tools and cleaning agents ensuring eco-friendly products are properly used and that work meets standards for cleanliness, within established time parameters.

Conduct interviews and hire staff as required.

Work with, and manage a staff of two employees including creating schedules, planning, assigning, directing and appraising work, training and resolving problems.

Act as the main point-of-contact on all client related matters; initial meeting, obtaining and safeguarding house key, discussing and identifying client requirements, scheduling visits and investigating complaints about service and taking corrective action.

Ensure that all necessary tools and supplies are available for use, conduct regular inventory checks and replenish supplies as required.

Plan and implement marketing and advertising strategy to find and cultivate new clientele and increase business.

Using QuickBooks, manage all aspects of the company’s payroll including calculating employee gross pay, making the appropriate payroll deductions from employees' pay each pay period, remitting payroll deductions, along with the employer's share of Canada Pension Plan (CPP) contributions and Employment Insurance (EI) premiums, to the Canada Revenue Agency as required.

Report to CRA, each employee's income and deductions on the appropriate T4 slip and file an information return on or before the last day of February of the following calendar year.
