Water Treatment System Design. Managed sampling and analysis of data as well as a review of existing conditions at this assisted living facility in New York to develop a basis of design and concept for a water treatment system to remove legionella bacteria using a copper/silver ion disinfection system. This project included selection and management of the installation contractor for this system providing disinfection for 10,000 gallons per day.

Water Treatment System Design. Conducted sampling and analysis of data as well as a review of existing conditions at this manufacturing site in Massachusetts to develop a basis of design and concept for a water treatment system to remove perchlorate using a skid-mounted ion exchange system. Subsequently the project included development of final design plans and specifications as well as construction oversight for this system providing treatment for 10,000 gallons per day. Non Major Comprehensive Plan Approval. Provided complex air permit application preparation and subsequent negotiations to resolve violations of existing air regulations at a confidential cereal manufacturer. The project included development and implementation of stack testing protocols and subsequent interpretation of sampling data to develop emission models. Installation of Propellant Aboveground Storage Tank. Successfully managed multi-disciplinary project to install a 30,000-gallon aerosol propellant tank at a manufacturing site in Massachusetts. This project included development of plans for the new tank installation, including plans and specifications for electrical, structural, fire protection, geotechnical and civil engineering and provided the permitting and construction oversight for the project.

Domestic Wastewater Treatment System Design. Prepared design plans and specifications for a 10,000-gallon per day system to replace an existing failed on-site wastewater treatment (septic) system serving a large office building. The project utilized alternative technology (trickling filters) to achieve strict discharge requirements.

Risk Management Plan. Developed a Risk Management Plan update for a chemical manufacturer in response to enforcement actions taken by the US Environmental Protection Agency. The project included coordination and documentation of many physical plant improvements, including improved storage procedures, improved hazardous material management procedures, and upgraded emergency response plans.
