Results:

I have achieved the creation of a new company s portfolio based on the selected molecules based on fine IP, Market, and economic feasibility analyses. Also, I have managed, created and implemented the company’s new Innovation and IPR strategies. This will allow the company to enter into a new business model as a product developer and IPR licenser. Finally, I have collaborated during the creation, submission and successful approval of 2 project proposals to the European Commission which will represent an approximated future income of 2 to 5 M Euro for the next 3 years.

I have achieved an above average on annual productivity targets with rates of 110 and 115 % in 2014 and 2015 respectively; I have delivered 3 new lines of chemical specialties which represent at least 15 new products, 2 Brazilian patents and 3 International patents, which will be reflected in an increase for future annual company income of approximately 10 M Euro.

I have led and coordinated the research and projects related to the production of bioethanol of second and third generation; Including the project management and supervision of a multidisciplinary research team of 10 professionals and 2 Technicians; I have also intermediated the CETENE relationships with the sugar cane industry in Brazil and represented the institution before the Brazilian Bioethanol Network and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Brazil.

Results

I have achieved in a very short time the restructuration of the research group in biofuels which included the selection and recruitment of new specialists and researchers; Also obtained national and international certifications for Fermentation Laboratory at CETENE, by the creation of the anew Microbial Bank along with the Antibiotics Laboratory from the Federal University of Pernambuco, in accordance with international biosafety standards (ISO 22000 and the American Type Culture Collection - ATCC).
