Mr. Short responsibilities as Director of Sales is to increase overall sales of property (Total Revenue). He has met his objectives the last 2 years running with being on pace for this year. Upon him joining the team he has had many successes to his credit. He has strong ties to the Military/Government market and has already landed over 1 million in business for the Candlewood Suites Dumfries/Quantico. He had previously obtained 2 different Gold Awards via Choice Hotels International, he was asked twice to speak on Sales/Marketing at the National Convention by Choice Hotels. After joining the Staybridge hotel he had helped obtain most improved REVPar via IHG within his region for 2 Quarters running. He has also landed key accounts with DEA & FBI and other Military branches which situates the hotel to be in good position to meet its budget. He is currently a Prince William Tourism Board Member since 2017 and was just asked to renew his tenure for the next 2 years with the Board. He has also achieved most improved Director of Sales within ownership’s portfolio.

1)Staybridge Suites Quantico: Mr. Short responsibilities was the Sales Manager of Staybridge Suites Quantico, his responsibilities are to oversee the day to day sales and marketing efforts. Ever since Mr. Short has been on board the hotel has experienced increases in ADR, REVPAR, and overall revenues. He has been an important part in establishing the property since opening in the market.

2)Guest Supply – Northern VA/Maryland Sales Representative:

Mr. Short’s responsibilities included day to day sales of all hotels in the Arlington, Virginia, and Washington D.C. markets. In addition to day to day sales Mr. Short also was responsibly for obtaining new accounts in that market to include special pricing for companies with multiple hotels in their portfolios.

3)Plank Road Hospitality T/A Ramada Inn & EconoLodge Fredericksburg, VA: Mr. Short’s responsibilities included to oversee both properties on day to day operations and over see sales and marketing efforts. Mr. Short help land a 1.2 Million dollar contract with a government contractor that increased overall business by 36%. His abilities to obtain contract business and use yield management helped the hotel produce revenues it had not seen in over 8years.

4)pmHospitality Strategies Alexandria, VA: (3 Properties)

Mr. Short started out with this company as its first General Manager. He started out as General Manager overseeing day to day operations of the Comfort Inn in Lorton, Va. In 2001 he was promoted to General Manger of the Comfort Suites Manassas. His responsibilities were to over see day to day operations and sales/marketing efforts.

5) J.M. Bowen Hospitality Co. LLC Fredericksburg, Va.

Mr. Short started out with this organization at the age of 16. He was developed

as a manager from the start overseeing the Front desk of the Hampton Inn in

Fredericksburg. He was promoted several times until becoming the company’s youngest General Manager. Mr. Short headed up a 1Million dollar renovation

and assisted with a sales contract with a government installation that helped

increased sales by more than 35%. Later, he was then promoted to another

property with over 8,000 square feet of meeting space and 180 guest rooms.

He also accomplished a 2 Million dollar renovation that help in winning a

Coveted renovation Award (Hospitality Lodging Magazine Renovation of the

Year Award).
