Project Description: SMARTS Trade Surveillance (STS) is a web-based broker compliance service provided by NASDAQ. There are some markets where NASDAQ is unable to obtain an appropriate direct data feed from the relevant stock exchange. For these markets, NASDAQ is able to offer a T+1 surveillance solution by merging publicly available data from the exchange or a data aggregator (e.g. Reuters or Bloomberg) with broker-specific data extracted from the broker’s trading systems. SMARTS Trade Surveillance has been traditionally designed to handle order and trade flow that is directly sent to an exchange. Given the recent shift in demand for similar surveillance solutions for buy-side firms (hedge funds, fund managers), there is a requirement to monitor for orders which are held/ staged away from the exchange either within the firm’s own Smart Order Routers (SORs)/ Algorithms or through similar algorithms from a third party.

Roles & Responsibilities:-

The major responsibility is to understand the requirements of each market/broker subscription rules list and run the real-time data for alerts generation.

Testing the Alerts algorithms and different subscriptions parameters.

For each regression test suite, Cucumber scripts will be created and maintained.

Production support testing will be done for each client of STS every release which happens every quarter.

Python and shell scripts will be created for alert support configs, parameters testing and maintained.
