Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, I was responsible for upholding the highest

quality and standards delivered by my managers and staff; effective planning based on the allocated

store budget; ensuring compliance of national marketing and promotional initiatives; recruiting,

training and people development; managing time, costs and inventory effectively to run an efficient

operation to grow profit margins exponentially.

KITCHEN OPERATIONS MANAGER, GRANVILLE ISLAND — 1997 TO 2000

I ran the best reviewed kitchen as the Kitchen Operations Manager at this location. In addition to the

responsibilities of a Kitchen Manager, I worked on menu development and facilitated KOM meetings.

business plans, as well as managing administrative tasks.

Working in a fast-paced environment, I was responsible for prepping ingredients and assembling

dishes according to Keg recipes, specifications, and standards.

After excelling as a 1st Cook and member of the Back-of-House team, I began my cross-over training to

Front-of-House as a lunch and dinner server. It was in this role that I found my passion for interacting

I began my career with The Keg Steakhouse + Bar as a dishwasher at this location. My strong work ethic

did not go unnoticed, as I was soon promoted to Salad Prep, and eventually made it through the ranks

to 1st Cook. I was named Rookie of the Year at this Keg.
