Job duties were to load trucks and make sure all product was loaded accurately.

After a year, I was promoted to an order selector. My job duties were to accurately pick orders so they can be staged and loaded.

By the time I resigned, I became the assistant supervisor where I was expected to lead the meetings and make sure safety was our #1 priority. I was also tasked to close everyday which meant I had to make sure we had minimal short products. After I started closing, the company started to see less short products sent out.

JUNE 2015 – APRIL 2017

Awarded certification to use forklift and standing reach forklift.

Was taught to accurately use excel spreadsheets to log data of loads and create Bills of Ladings for the truck drivers.

Used a pallet jack to accurately pick orders and staged them to put labels on the cases and hand wrap the pallets.

After a couple of months of working here, I was commended by my supervisors for my work ethic, leading to being trained for more job duties which included, driving the forklift, loading trucks, and closing orders.

APRIL 2017 – AUGUST 2019

SHIPPING CLERK (2017-2018) ORDER SELECTOR (2018-2019), SMART AND FINAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER 5500 SHEILA ST. COMMERCE CA, 90040

Learned to use GOLD stock application quickly and efficiently to accurately close completed shipping loads so they can be shipped out. I mastered GOLD and was able to perform different actions on the application like, managing short orders, managing inventory, creating jobs for forklift workers, and opening and closing out truck loads.

As a shipping clerk, I was routinely asked to work 6 days a week because I was always dependable and trustworthy.

After a year of being a shipping clerk, I was promoted to an order selector. I learned and was awarded certification to drive a ridable pallet truck.

My job duties were, to pick up equipment and complete safety check list every day, to accurately assemble customer orders from stock, place the cases on a pallet, and place labels on completed pallets. Learned to use a Talkman unit to gather information to accurately assemble customer orders. Learned to use a shrink wrap machine to secure the product on the pallet and take them to the loading door to be loaded.

My work ethic at both jobs was praised by my supervisors. There were times I was asked to perform both tasks of order selecting and as a shipping clerk and I was able to perform with no issues.

Made sure inventory was in stock and purchased any materials from Home Depot, Ferguson, and various vendors.

Entered purchase receipts into ledger and journal for bookkeeping.

After two months, I was asked to help the maintenance supervisor with her job duties, which included, signing out materials for job sites, creating work orders, scheduling with tenants for repairs, scheduling with managers for repairs.

Used my negotiating skills to get better pricing with vendors from Home Depot and Ferguson. I was able to bring down their prices by 10% on certain items.

Received and stocked purchases into storage room clearly and efficiently.

Entered monthly rent checks accurately into the accounting application Rent Manager.

Established a great relationship with vendors from Home Depot and Ferguson.

I am currently working towards all of these certificates and degrees stated above and I am currently in my fifth class out of 8 in my Retail Management Certificate and my fourth class out of 9 in my HR management certificate; the class I am currently taking is Retail Management. In the fourth classes that I have taken, I have gotten all A’s in every class. The classes that I have passed are Human Relations in Business, Human Resources Management, Introduction to Accounting, and Elements of Marketing

At school, I was involved in many extracurricular groups on campus. I would frequently stay after school to work on my homework or in my groups so that we can schedule activities around campus.
