1. 2. Presently I am working as a Mechanical Engineer (MEP) at SHEIKH SHAKBOUT MEDICAL CITY (AL MAFRAQ HOSPITAL) Project, Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., since June 2015 to Till date
Project profile: Habtoor Leighton Group (Presently BIC Contracting) is constructing the US$ 600 million new Mafraq Hospital, located in Al Mafraq, Abu Dhabi, in joint venture with Murray & Roberts.
The 739-bed general hospital will be one of the leading trauma/surgery hospitals in the region, and will provide a cost-effective alternative for patients who previously had to seek specialized care overseas for neurosurgery, orthopaedics, acute rehabilitation and plastic surgery.
The joint venture’s scope of works includes construction of:
A two-storey basement including service accommodation, labs, CSSD, dining and parking
A three-storey outpatient building including clinics
A link bridge
A three-storey podium building including diagnostics, operating theatres, ER, rehab, ICU and maternity
Two nine-storey and two 11-storey inpatient towers
Peripheral buildings including substations, cooling plant, workshop, mortuary, underground tanks and service tunnels
Landscaping, infrastructure and external works
3. I worked as a Mechanical Engineer (MEP) at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank's new headquarters Project, near Zayed City in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., from June 2016 to November 2016 Project profile: The project involves the construction of two towers covering approximately 97,000 square meters, consisting of a ground floor, mezzanine level and 12 upper floors, as well as four levels of basement parking.
The work comprises the construction of two towers covering approximately 97,000 square meters, consisting of a ground floor, mezzanine level and 12 upper floors, as well as four levels of basement parking. A section of the ground floor will house Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank's front office retail hall, with the remaining floor area built as shell and core to house additional retail tenants. The upper floors will be office space constructed as shell and core only.
Job Responsibilities:
A. Obligation in a Current Project.
To liaise with construction team to ensure all inspection and testing requirements are fulfilled and
Work quality is achieved in order to meet contract requirements.
Installation inspection of complete HVAC ducting, Plumbing and Fire Protection System for building units as per the NFPA & Local Authority Requirements
Prepare the inspection request (IR, IRC & IRCX) and Material Inspection Request (MIR)
To conduct daily site inspections in order to monitor ongoing activities if it complies with
Drawings and specifications.
Directly reporting to MEP Manager.
Conduct site inspections.
Preparation of Material Submittal for the complete HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection System.
Coordinating with the Consultant for the inspection at site work & Submittal approvals.
Coordinating with the Sub Contractors, Suppliers & Manufacturer for the material procurement & to know more about the new system technologies.
As a QA/QC Engineer, involved in pre-inspection of HVAC, Plumbing & Fire Protection System work and materials to avoid rejections of work/materials by Consultant Inspectors/Engineer.
Provide regular reports to Project Construction Manager and QA / QC Manager
Assist the Project Quality Manager in determining the quality objectives and targets for the project
Oversee drawings used by construction team to ensure, no superseded drawings are at point of use
Review Contract Specification.
Implement changes by coordinating with appropriate individuals

Coordinating with the Site construction team to resolve the Site issues.
To liaise with construction team to ensure quality of products/supplies/services by sub- contractors meet the specified requirement at source with regard to completed work quality in order to meet client’s requirement as per the contract
Assess subcontractor / supplier QA arrangements for compliance with contract requirements
Inspect all received materials
To monitor the QA/QC Engineers, QC Inspectors & Document controller in order to achieve the works according to specifications and standards.
To ensure the closure of NCR”S and get the approval from the consultant in order to meet the client requirement and quality plan.
Managing subcontractor’s work: engineering, procurement, fabrication and site installation, reviewing and validation of the subcontractors' invoices.
Coordinates the maintenance, construction, modification and installation related to the HVAC
& Mechanical systems.
Coordinate all aspect of the project with design teams, consultants, and supplier to ensure delivery.
Ensure the testing and commissioning of Mechanical system HVAC and Mechanical services.
Coordinates the rectification work for HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection System during the testing and commissioning
Prepare, get approved and compile all documentation related to site execution of Pre- commissioning
Provide technical leadership and guidance on the work site to ensure Operational and Acceptance test for mechanical system as well as interface to the Building Management System (BMS)
To liaise with construction team to ensure all rectification work for Snag comments as per Consultant Sang table using Zutec software
To follow-up with construction team to ensure all works related to Defect liability Period Request Notification (DLPRN) as per Facilities Management B. Additional Obligation in a Current and Previous Project.
Review and supervise the production of Structural shop drawings with all necessary details in accordance to the tender drawings in order to submit to the consultants for approvals in a timely, efficient and accurate basis in order to meet production targets and submission schedules and provide final as built drawings for submittal to consultant for approval, distribution to all relevant parties.
Review and prepare of shop drawings, P&ID and pipe supports detail drawings using with AutoCAD 2D software.
Assigning and Guiding Draughts person to prepare the GA Drawing (Proposal) and detailed fabrication drawings for the aforementioned equipment’s as per Client’s data sheet, specifications and drawings
Supervise and manage the team of Jr. Engineers, draftsman and Coordinators for the production of coordinated shop drawings with all necessary details in accordance to the tender drawings in order to submit to the consultants for approvals in a timely, efficient and accurate basis in order to meet production targets, submission schedules and provide final as built drawings for submittal to consultant for approval, distribution to all relevant parties
Checking of the aforementioned drawings and its Bill of Materials.
Preparation of Bill of materials for quotation.
Preparing and checking of plate cutting layouts for fabrication to minimize material wastage
To check the material requisition and materials specification
To ensure that all equipments fabrication drawings are designed according to client’s specification and standards.
Preparation and Checking of Site Technical enquiry (STQ), Design change request for client’s review and approval.
Responsible for getting approval of fabrication drawings from client and third party.
Basic and Detailed Design deliverables from the Engineering contractor review/approval. Produce comment in due time, explain to Contractor and follow up the implementation
Ensure that design modifications are correctly followed-up / implemented by sub-Contractor
Inspection of equipment after the QC inspection based on latest drawings approved by Client/Documents from Client.
Monitor and control the fabrication activities as per the ITP/Contract specification/Codes and Standards/Approved Drawings and Procedures work Instructions Material identification, Visual inspection, welding consumable verification, dimensional check, performance test, Overall quality control project responsibilities such as, interaction and coordination with clients, design, planning, projects, production, Welding.
Prepare inspection & test plan (ITP) in accordance with International codes and standards/client or contract specification requirement. In process inspection–various stages to check the level, Fit-up, temperature control consumable.
Work involved co-ordination with sub-contractor inspector for day to day QA/QC activities.
