Assembly Work

● Detail and quality-oriented assembly work with minimal supervision

● Experience in a manufacturing environment utilizing techniques to install Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Through-hole Technology (THT) components

● Assemble units while working with a team or independently in high volume and/or with minimal engineering instruction/supervision on prototype assemblies

● Connect component lead wires to printed circuit or routes and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals and contact points using soldering, welding, thermal compression or related bonding procedures

● Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, cleaning, coating, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping and color-coding parts and assemblies

● Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture or other holding device using hand or power tools

● Assemble and attach functional and cosmetic hardware such as caps, clamps and knobs to assemblies using hand tools and power tools

● Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in panels

● Read shop orders, follow production work instruction and sample assemblies and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed

● Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to engineering specifications

● Train other associates on task requirements and processes

● Perform operator level preventive maintenance on machines
