Managed the supervision of 14 hourly and 5 salaried employees. Experience managing up to 85 employees at any given time. Provided direction for a multiple shift operation that involves the delivering of goods in a “Just in Time” manufacturing environment. Directed multiple projects to increase reliability in plant performance with the focus on improving equipment reliability. •Managed plant CMMS: Implemented and installed a CMMS system for the purpose of data collection to establish baselines for MTBF & MTTR. Trained all production and maintenance employees on proper use of system.

•Process Improvement: Eliminated unnecessary filter changes by reprogramming PLC to ensure proper air pulse of dust collector that resulted in $35,000 in filter replacement savings.

Responsibilities included the daily management of the maintenance group which includes prioritizing work and setting daily schedules, planning plant shutdowns and manpower requirements. Oversee the Preventative Maintenance Program, which consists of TPM and Predictive Maintenance tasks, to ensure uninterrupted production. Manage the plant CMMS system which is the main communication tool between the maintenance department and the production group. Coordinate Contractor activities and ensure all materials are ordered and on hand for special projects. Actively participate in interviewing, hiring and training of new Maintenance Associates.

•Develop and Implement: predictive and preventative maintenance initiatives.

•Supervised and assisted: multi-craft team members with complex trouble-shooting problems involving both AC & DC circuits and pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

•PLC and HMI: design, troubleshoot, and program for production machinery.

•Lead Energy Savings Project: 3-year project to offset a 52% increase in cost per kilowatt hour that resulted in completely offsetting the difference.

•Machine Troubleshooting Experience: progressive and transfer presses to 500-ton, injection molding, rubber and plastic extrusion and equipment used in the rubber mixing process.

•Managed plant CMMS: learned system to utilize the PM function to develop, implement and automate PM for the maintenance department. Exported data to develop baselines for downtime, MTBF and MTTR.
