Job Profile:

To conduct daily permit coordination meeting involving all authorities like System Authorities, Issuing Authorities, Performing Authorities, Responsible Electrical & Mechanical Persons, Energy Isolating Authorities and HSE.

Coordinate permit processes and related issues and maintain accurate up-to-date information on the status of permits. Update the permit board on a daily basis.

Liaise with the client /sub-contractors/ Vendor rep for planning of permit application

Day-to-day understanding and review of permits.

Jointly responsible for conducting PTW training.

Responsible to get the signature from issuing authority and handover the approved permits to performing authority.

Liaise with system authorities / vendors/ subcontractors for isolation and lock-off tag-out requirements during pre-commissioning and commissioning stages.

Maintain a register of permits up-to-date.

Maintain a Lockout, Tag out / Isolation Register for equipment, systems/subsystems and any other relevant information supplied by client/subcontractors

Verification of isolation and de-isolation (Mechanical / Electrical) certificate.

Maintain a display board at work site entrance to notify all concerned on critical activities planned for following shifts.

Attend the daily planning and coordination meeting and collect the work permits for following shifts.

Maintain records of authorized System Authorities (SA), Issuing Authorities (IA), Performing Authorities (PA), Authorized Gas Testers (AGT), Responsible Electrical Persons (REP), and Energy Isolating Authorities (EIA) with specimen signatures, as required.

Make available and maintain Project Sub-System delineation P& ID’s, received from the Commissioning Lead Engineer that indicates by use of colour or other means the location of Mechanical Isolations and other Safety devices.

In cases where two permits are requested for SIMOPS, shall liaise with the Construction Manager or his designee to confirm priority.

Receive the completed/suspended permits and Task Team Meeting and update the status in permit to work register and retained until the end of the project.
