Project title: “Synthesis and characterization of functionalized SBA-15 catalysts for the dehydration of glycerol into acrolein.” Description: To synthesize and determine the suitable catalyst under the various reaction parameters and products were analyzed by GC. The suitable catalyst among different synthesized catalysts was identified and characterized in which offers maximum conversion and selectivity towards desired product acrolein (value added fine chemical). Project title: “Production of biodiesel by transesterification of waste vegetable oil.”
Description: To produce biodiesel by transesterification reaction in a semi batch reactor from used cooking oil as raw material and sodium meth oxide as catalyst.
