The GEO Group Inc., Human Resource Generalist, 08/06 – 07/13 (Resigned): Was responsible for two facilities as the HR Generalist. Have experience opening up two brand new facilities, one with 230 employees and one with 108 employees. Provides para-professional support in functional areas of the Human Resources which include recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, regulatory reporting requirements, benefits administration and other areas as needed. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in order to perform the essential functions of this position. Facilitates the recruiting efforts of the facility. I provide highly skilled secretarial services in the management of the Executive Office. Responsible for the preparation and administration of the Executive budget, maintains cuff accounts on all line items and accounts, provides monthly status report of all budgetary transactions, coordinates the maintenance of all office logs, office supplies and travel arrangements for Executive staff.

CCA/Florence Correctional Center, 06/01-08/01: Jobs Coordinator – This was a new position at this facility. I was responsible for creating a database to assist in the job coordination for inmates housed at FCC. I worked closely with the Classification Department and with the Unit Managers in order to place inmates in appropriate jobs.

CSC/Florence West Correctional Center, 02/01-06/01: Correctional Programs Officer – I was a Correctional Programs Officer, which I had a caseload of approximately 100 inmates. I assisted with the orientation of new inmates into the system, visitation paperwork, special visits, parole packets, parole hearings, disciplinary hearings.

CCA/Central Arizona Detention Center, 05/00 – 01/01: Correctional Officer – transferred from California City Correctional Center back to CADC as a Correctional Officer. I was responsible for maintaining security in the unit I was assigned to. I was also assigned to work in the Property Room, where I developed a database to track all incoming and outgoing inmates property. This enhanced the overall timeframes of responding to loss property reports as well as to the contracted agencies that CCA had. I assisted the Compliance Coordinate in preparing the facility for audits, as well as the Personnel Department when needed.

CCA/California City Correctional Center, 08/99 – 05/00: Personnel Coordinator – Assisted in opening up this brand new state of the art private corrections facility in California City, CA I develop, implement and/or coordinate policies and programs in the area of personnel administration to include benefits and services; employee relations; employment, including recruiting, placement and orientation; safety and health; and wage and salary administration. This was a brand new facility and I was responsible for recruiting over 500 employees.

CCA/Central Arizona Detention Center, 01/96 – 08/99: Personnel Coordinator – I develop, implement and/or coordinate policies and programs in the area of personnel administration to include benefits and services; employee relations; employment, including recruiting, placement and orientation; safety and health; and wage and salary administration. When I started this position, there was a staffing pattern of 250 employees, when I transferred to CCCC, there were 699 employees.
