Responsibilities:

HP Data protector:

Installed the HP Data Protector Cell manager and client on Windows and UNIX

Configuring and scheduling File System, oracle, SQL and VE backups.

Restoring files and databases as per client request.

Coordinate with platform team and network team for communication issue.

Checking and troubleshooting client backup failures and server-side issues.

Performing the copy operation from VLS to Tape for Offsite storage.

Raising HP support ticket to engage with HP to fixing major issues.

Configured the backups in B6200 and managed the copy jobs

Upgradation Data protector version from 7 to 9 and 8 to 9.

Developed and maintained the process of data backup according to the industry standards such as SLA.

Generating the reports for backups on all the regions to make sure of 100% recovery. Participate in 24x7x365 TSM support rotation.

TSM:

Day to day server management which includes Disk management, user management, Software installation, Job Scheduling, Backup and restoration, Monitoring and finally sending various reports to senior management.

Installation and configuration of BA client and TDP clients.

Tape library and Drive failures handling.

Raising IBM Call for hardware and software issues.

Checking all logs services and troubleshoot the problems.

Configuring TSM operations like Migration, reclamation, Collocation etc.

Define and configuring the client Schedules and Administrative Schedule.

Registering, Decommissioning of client and TDP nodes

Provide daily monitoring and management of data backups to ensure successful completion

Take corrective action for any data backup that does not complete successfully

Provide data restore services as requested and/or required

Manage archival of data at both local and remote sites

Assist with decommissioning and removal of servers as needed. Ensure data is successfully backed up and properly stored in the event restore is necessary
