EMPLOYMENT

Director of Facilities/Office Systems July 2003 to Present Anaheim Family YMCA, Anaheim, CA

Responsible for facility management at a 4 YMCA facilities including the program headquarters, manage 8 maintenance staff and oversee maintenance contracts. In addition to facilities improvement projects, coordinate all vendors and contractors while maintaining and managing various projects. Developing daily schedules, project schedules and workloads for all maintenance staff as well as checking and reviewing all work for quality and timely completion of the projects with strong attention to details to ensure cleanliness of all buildings with the emphasis on monitoring and the teamwork. Overseeing the Administrative office staff of 6, the day to day database systems, provides systems support and management for all database programs within the agency. Assist other departments in the structure of all database systems to meet each department’s specifications. Create options that will meet state reporting requirements. Provide systems management for the Anaheim Achieves program. Implement the organizations policies and procedures; propose revisions and updates as necessary. Maintain inventory at all facilities and program sites. Oversee and maintain the agencies warehouse and storage facility. Develops and maintain facilities quality control to ensure all facilities, program sites are in compliance. Supervise data entry staff to ensure the timely and accurate input of data and the generation of all reports. Risk Management Monthly Safety Meetings to all sites, monitor safety procedures utilizing best practices and good judgement. Responsibility for investigation and overall outcome for injuries that occur through out the programs. Overall supervision of our IT Department and its daily functions the ensure efficiency with little or no down time agency wide.

Program Director December 2001 to July 2003

Anaheim Family YMCA, Anaheim, CA

Responsibilities include: Supervision and program management of 23 program sites and 16 program supervisors of the Anaheim Achieves After School Program. Oversee the implementation of programming, planning and enrollment for all 23 program sites. Communicate daily with Administrators, school officials and state reporting agencies, on-going day to day supervision of staff to ensure staff is providing a high quality of programming by conducting weekly site visits to all sites, monthly administrators meetings as well as bi weekly program supervisor meeting. Ensure sites operate with the highest degree of safety and security at all times. Conducted annual program evaluations on all programs to in ensure grant requirements and compliance. Oversee 1 million dollar program budget for program supplies and operating expenses. Conducted monthly trainings for all staff, provided communication, leadership and overall professional work ethics.

Program Supervisor September 1999 to December 2001 Anaheim Family YMCA, Anaheim, CA

Supervisor for the YMCA Program utilizing funds for the Anaheim Achieves Program. Based at community schools in the Anaheim City School District. Responsibilities include: Overall staff supervision, program curriculum planning and implementation also well as meeting all deadlines. Develop and maintain a high level communication and positive relationships with school personnel including the principal, teachers, literacy coaches, custodians, office staff and lunch clerk. Recruit and enroll program participants. Plan and implement high quality, engaging, age appropriate academic and enrichment activities in a safe and nurturing environment. Integrate character development into program activities. Communicate expectations, provide on-going performance feedback, evaluate performance, and recognize contributions. Duties also include direct supervision of on-site staff of education and maintenance personal. Marketing and promotional duties to ensure the program goals and objectives are meet on a monthly basis. Coordination of all phases of the program liaison with parents. To assure high quality and professional implementation of the after school learning and safe neighborhood program. This includes planning, developing, administering and providing leadership. Responsible for staff training and evaluation on an on-going basis.

Recycling Coordinator May 1997 to Sept 1999

Conservation Corps of Long Beach, Long Beach, CA

Duties: Recycling Coordinator will be responsible for direct supervision of the CCLB Recycling Division and for the planning and coordination of recycling work projects, budget, reports and grants. Plan, develop, bid and evaluate recycling projects and commercial accounts with public non-profit agencies, government agencies and private sector companies. Will prepare and supervise the preparation of daily records for vehicle use, maintenance, inventory, tool and equipment use, accident reports, work crews for the California Department of Conservation, Division of Recycling and other agencies. Will prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports of recycling activities. Directly responsible for the supervision and evaluation of recycling work projects, site supervisor and all recycling crews. Will schedule recycling crews and coordinate all logistics for the crews including supervision, transportation, equipment, skills-training and project monitoring.
