Welder Contractor, 2014 to Present day.

Welder, Songer Canada Limited. Feb 2019 until December 20th 2019. Performed scheduled maintenance In Stelco and Dofasco in Hamilton. Working in dusty dirty locations around the plant. Welding small to big bore pipe 2” to 36”. Steam, gas, hydrogen, water, chemical, slurry lines, and coke oven gas lines. New and existing piping. A lot of repairs. Welding on to existing pipe and cutting out sections putting in new. Running Victaulic lines. Threading pipe for installation. Job duties consisted of heights up to and over 100 feet. Off catwalks, ladders, platforms, scissor lifts and aerial platforms.

Welder Babcock and Wilcox. BWXT. February until October 6th 2018. Performed work off jigs rotators and stands. Built separators and Steam Generators for Bruce Power. Using 308l tig mig and fluxcore.

Welder, Matrix NAC . BOSC Stelco Shutdown Jan until Feb. Removed and replaced 12 inch water line. Bolted on flanges and valves. Performed work off of stairs cat walks platforms. Up in an aerial lift.

Welder, State Group Inc. Boiler House #1 Demolition Dofasco Shutdown. September 7th –Nov.16 2017.

Removed and replaced piping, and valves. Cut out sections with torches and hand grinders . Bolted blind flanges on lines using impact wrenches. Welded 2 inch condensate tie in line and 60 inch coke oven gas line. Using 6010 and 7018 SMAW. Performed work off catwalks scaffolding. Used mobile cranes chain falls and come alongs.

Welder, Fil trek Corporation, May 2017- Sept 2017

Performed Pulse mig and tig welding on pressure vessels. Set up drive rollers and positioners to weld pressure components. Used angle grinders, die grinders, squares, straight edges, levels, measuring tape plasma cutters and torches to lay out, fit, and weld units.

Welder, Superior Boiler Works and welding. Durham Energy Centre Shutdown. February 2017.

Replaced #1 boiler tubing. Lift arc tig procedure. Performed inkonel stick on membranes of boiler in vertical position. Decended multiple stairs, catwalks and ladders . Worked with grinders, torches and plasma cutters. Performed bolt ups on structural framing of boiler with impact guns and wrenches .

Welder, Matrix NAC Inc. Stelco Shutdown January - February. 2017.

Worked alongside Journeyman welders and fitters. Replaced Valves, steam lines, and waterlines. Decended multiple ladders, stairs, and catwalks to perform tasks. Used wide range of tools, grinders, oxy fuel cutting torches, Come alongs and Chain falls to complete work orders.

Welder. Westlake Industries, Burlington ON. September2015 – November 2016

Assisted in fitting big bore pipe. Welded plug tacks on 24 inch to 40 inch carbon pipe. Completed in house 100 percent x-ray test on 2inch sch 180 carbon in fixed 6 g position. Welded tie backs on big bore pipe to positioners with Mig. Loaded and unloaded pipe on trailers to be shipped. Performed hydro tests used overhead cranes to move pipe . Helped fitters grind pipe. Performed daily tasks proficiently and on time.

Welder. Bramkal Contractors - Burlington ON. January2015 - May 2015.

Fit, tacked and welded 2-12 inch carbon pipe. 6010 – 7018 1/8 electrodes. Welded brackets for waterline at chemical factory. Installed waterline, brackets, valves, airlines, pumps. Cut holes with a cutting torch. Performed most duties at heights in a sky jack and off ladders. Cut holes in concrete walls for waterline.

Metal Trade. Westlake Industries, Burlington ON. June 2011-Sept 2014.

Being a metal trade I helped Pipefitters and Welders with grinding, bending, fitting pipe, rigging, installation, Mitering, gas arc cutting, and pipe take offs.

Qualifications.

TSSA Pressure vessel open root plate All position ticket, Cwb all position Stick ticket,2 inch 6g TSSA stick ticket, Industrial Cranes Rigging and Hoisting, Industrial Plumbing, Blue print reading, First Aid, Working at heights training, Whimis. Elevated Plateform . 456a Interprovincial Red seal Certified Journeyman welder August 18th 2018 to present day.
