Project Summary:

Remote Monitoring/Terminal Unit

The modular RTU is designed to be expanded by adding additional modules

Like 8 analogs in module & 8 digital out module. Some specialized modules

Such as a GPS time stamp module also added.

Fuel Monitoring System (FMS)

Measures the fuel level measurement, detection of refill and pilferages of fuel from tank, detection of DG Start and Stop with inbuilt accelerometer.

Battery cell monitoring Unit (BMS)

Battery cell level monitors the voltages and terminal temperature of batteries are monitored in real time installed on every cell in a battery bank and communicate through RF.

Power Quality Management System (PQMS)

The main objective of the PQMS project is to monitor the Reliability Indices remotely. The most important parameters required for electricity industry are network reliability and security.

Intelligent Automatic Meter Reading (IAMR)

The aim of the IAMR project is to read remotely the Monthly Billing data, Load survey data.

Technical Skills:

GSM /GPRS/GPS Modules: Telit, wavecom, simcomm

Communications: SPI, RS232 and RS485

Tools: AC – DC converters, power supplies, Hardware Equipment’s like Logic Analyzer, Digital & Analog Oscilloscopes, Signal Generators, Digital Multimeter's & Clamp meters

Projects Description:

Intelligent Automatic Meter Reading (IAMR)

Client: Different PSU’s

Environment: KEIL u vision 3, Embedded C

Description: The aim of the IAMR project is to read remotely the Monthly Billing data, Load survey data. The Intelligence Automatic Meter Reading (I.A.M.R.) is used for automatic meter reading as well as for tamper detection. The SMS contains the type of tamper (occur/restore) message along with the meter parameters i.e. three phase’s voltages, line currents, active currents, power factors, average power factors, Kilowatts, KVA, and the meter serial number. The IAMR is capable to read the remote meter and download the meter Data by the software specified for that meter.

Modules responsible for:

Debugging and testing the product

Integration of Unit level testing

Involved in preparation of the documents like User Manual, Technical Specification, Preparation of Test Plan, Test case / Test Script and Test report

Involved in testing in different aspects with development team.

Fuel Monitoring System (FMS)

Description: FMS has the Capacitive Level sensing technology to measure the Fuel level measurement: in height (mm), in volume (liters) and in percentage of total tank capacity and detection of DG Start and Stop with inbuilt accelerometer. And designed to work on wide range of DG Battery voltage (7 VDC to 30 VDC) with RS485 communication interface and display.

Modules responsible:

Involved in Testing & development.

Involved in server protocol testing and validation

Data concentrators (DCUs)

Data Concentration Unit collects the telemetry data from various meters and units and sends the data to the master MDAS (Meter Data Acquisition system)

Battery Monitoring System

Description: Battery cell level monitor is installed on every cell in a battery bank with unique design offers direct mounting of device across the cell terminals and unambiguously locates faulty batteries by an fault LED indicator

With Parasitic Ultra low power battery monitors need no additional power supply (the battery monitors draw power from the batteries on which they are installed)

Voltages and terminal temperature of batteries are monitored in real time

Cell monitors communicate to the RF Reader/Smart SED wirelessly via RF.

Responsibilities:

Integration of Unit level testing

Hardware - Software Integration and testing.

Involved in trouble shooting the products

Extensive experience in interacting effectively with on site members to solve the problems

Micro Remote Terminal Unit (Micro RTU)

Description: The MICRO RTU is a micro controller-based device for reporting the data of the Substation electrical and pseudo parameters and used for acquiring data at a time from 15 energy meters. The main application of Micro RTU is to monitor the sub station feeders. It is used to monitor the status of breakers. It can acquire the data of 15 energy meters at a time. It acquires the tampering conditions of the meter also. It consists of one main and two slave modules. Main module takes care of configuration and communication aspects, and slave module does scan of the RS 485 and MODBUS compatible meters for every one-minute and Digital input for every 10 msec’s.

Responsibilities:

Debugging and testing in the firmware for various conditions of solicited responses

Integration of Unit level testing

Hardware - Software Integration and testing
