Introduction

I am a self-motivated, hardworking multi-tasker. I take pride in my ability to adapt to different situations and people. I am a team player with strong communication skills and am always up for a challenge.

I have experience providing personal home care service to clients which requires honesty, reliability and trust. In running this business I have experience working in industrial and residential areas.

Working in the corrections field I was a leadership role, mentoring and guiding the youth residence to become positive and successful in transitioning back into society.

Objective / Goal

I believe in maintaining good health, staying positive and setting a good example for my kids to learn from by providing support, encouragement and a caring environment. As my children are getting older and becoming more independent, I am finding I have the opportunity to venture out and seek additional employment. - Detailed home and construction cleaning, gardening. Also I cleaned and organized Industrial Laboratories for Bulletproof coffee Inc. I was trusted to work for the owners of Bulletproof coffee in their person home management.

- Nanny/child supervision, animal sitting

- Personal assistance in organization, time management, shopping

Correctional Officer – Prince George Youth Containment Center September 1992 – September 1999

Responsibilities: Inmate/resident and staff safety, safety searches - drugs, alcohol, weapons,

inmate suicide attempts, victimization, strip searches and site security.

Duties: Building Security – air locked unit doors and inmate unit doors secure at all times, fire

exits checked and secure.

- Video Surveillance - monitoring inmate and staff movement within the building and on

secure grounds, work building control center accessing doors.

- Night Protrol Officer Duty – complete building check including units, work-shops, ball field

fence security, cameras and all exits.

- Administration / Discharge – booking inmates into custody, body searches and office

documentation for admitting and releasing.

- Programs – developed and implemented a program that taught the youth respect and the

principles in how to survive. Provided them with the knowledge and tools for those in

need. Where and how to find help thru the community services and support groups

available for assistance.
