Project Summary

General civil surveying works: Traverse, Setting out points, offset points of walls, and corners of buildings.

Infrastructure surveys: Underground utilities: Manholes, trench and lines of Foul water, sewage, Storm water.

Currently working as, Senior Surveyor Engineer. and my duties and responsibilities are!

• Serves as a lead to field staff to include assigning and monitoring work and providing direction in performing various land survey operations

• Assists Surveying Manager/Director with scope sheets, cost estimates, and schedules.

• Communicates and coordinates with local project staff for services to be performed.

• Leads and participates in a variety of land survey operations such as boundary, topography, leveling, design, as-built, and maintaining horizontal and vertical control networks utilizing a full range of survey equipment.

• Prepares and verifies mathematical calculations related to surveying and basic engineering; computes and adjusts angles, distances, bearings traverses and elevations interprets and computes field data; evaluates for accuracy and completeness; maintains accurate survey and non-survey related records in the form of field notes, reports and sketches; maintains vertical and horizontal control notes in files, field book and computer.

• Performs detailed control and layout for various building systems.

• Provides confirmation of sub trade layout and installation, to include capturing as-built data as needed.

• Utilize CAD for generating survey points for layout in the field, and capture survey points in the field for verification against CAD.

• Conducts project research, secures equipment, uses safety techniques, performs the survey operation, handles the equipment, records data and performs other associated duties for the purpose of delivering a successful project.

• Prepares and maintains a variety of records, logs, diaries, and/or other related documentation.

• Supervise staff performing scanning as applicable; perform point cloud registration using survey control and/or supervise staff performing registration services.

• Analysis of record data, deeds, and plats for property and boundary control.

• Answers questions and provides information to the public concerning surveying activities.

• Tracks and maintains survey supplies such as stakes and marking equipment; ensures safety devices are present and in use as appropriate. May place traffic control devices; may assist with directing traffic when necessary.

• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.

• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.

• Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation, and dimensions of land or land features.

• Calculate heights, depths, relative positions, property lines, and other characteristics of terrain.

• Prepare or supervise preparation of all data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys.

• Setting-out center lines, offsets of road from Natural Ground Preparation (NGP) to Finish Road Level (FRL).

• Setting out design levels of every layer for roads.

• Setting out alignment and levels for underground utilities: foul/sewer lines, Stormwater, TSE, Raw Water, Potable water, firefighting, STC (telephone) Electrical utilities: SEC, HV, LV.
