Objective

College graduate with a BA, and 4 years’ experience playing collegiate baseball, seeking a collegiate head coaching position, which incorporates my experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and talents to efficiently maintain player relationships and being a respectful representative of a unified program..

Skills & Abilities

I utilize the skills and abilities I have been able to acquire from playing and coaching baseball in real life scenarios. From management of business, teams, and people, along with the necessary people skills to balance different personalities and opinions, I believe I have skills that a lot of people now a days, especially my age, lack. I work well both individually and as part of a team, striving to do my best at the task at hand. One thing that motivates me tremendously is that my superior, coworkers and I share a mutual respect in the workplace and maintain a common goal. I believe my leadership skill is also a strength of mine. I am able to relate to different personalities and help a group of indivduals unite to conquer a task.

Experience

ASSISTANT BASEBALL COACH – RUTGERS UNIVERSITY, CAMDEN - FEBRUARY 2018 - PRESENT

My responsibilities are to provide coaching to the Rutgers Camden baseball team, organizing practices, players and working closely with the Head Coach. I also scout new players for the team, traveling to events, camps and games.

ASSISTANT VOLUNTEER BASEBALL COACH - HIGHLAND REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL - MARCH 2017- JUNE 2017

My responsibilities were to provide coaching to the Highland Regional High School baseball team through practices, individual assistance, and strategic game planning when I was able to attend. I was still a full time student during the season and had to miss any events that occurred on Tuesday and Thursday during the season, but coaching at Highland was my number priority outside of school itself at the time.

Manager- SPORTZ CENTRAL - SEPTEMBER 2016 - PRESENT

My responsibilities are to provide coaching lessons to both the teams associated with the academy and individuals privately, organize and run baseball clinics and creating and helping youth camps. I help run the business operations, too. From organizing the facility’s schedule, to organizing and running the finances of the business. When coaching, I focus on helping high school students further their education with the use of baseball as a tool to get into a desired school of their choice, along with relating baseball activities to everyday life to help them not just become better baseball players, but also better people.

ASSISTANT BASEBALL COACH - GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP SENIOR AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - MAY 2014 - AUGUST 2016

My responsibilities were to co-manage the program’s baseball team. The manager had health concerns in the summers of 2015 and 2016 leaving the managerial position to be split amongst myself and my partner. My duties were to help recruit, organize practices, and manage the team’s strategic in game moves. The team in 2015 and 2016 placed third in the state of New Jersey, back to back years.

DELIVERY PERSON – PAPA JOHN’S PIZZA – SEPTEMBER 2014 - PRESENT

I have had many side jobs in the past, but this has been my most consistent. The general manager, Daniel Galda, has taken care of my hectic schedule over the years and has helped my make extra money through part time work at Papa John’s when I request it. I have not been a full time employee in about two years, but still work an occasional shift here and there to help pay my bills.

SECURITY OFFICER – RUTGERS UNIVERSITY - CAMDEN – SEPTEMBER 2013 – DECEMBER 2017

I worked part time for my college as a security officer throughout my tenure at Rutgers University – Camden. I normally would work 15-20 hours during baseball seasons, about 25-30 hours during the fall and winter, and occasionally pick up hours throughout the summer depending on my schedules at my other jobs at the time. More times than not, because I was part time, I would be apart of a duo that would keep patrol of the perimeter. The full time employees had the luxury of being inside for most of their shifts where part time employees, who were normally students and younger than the full time employees, would be outside monitoring the campus. Working in Camden, I have dealt with a lot of unusual situations and have learned to think quickly on my feet. My responsibilities were limited because of the inconsistency in my schedule over my time on the security team, but I was normally in charge of training the incoming members that were also going to be part time employees

COLLEGE BASEBALL PLAYER – RUTGERS UNIVERSITY - CAMDEN– SEPTEMEBER 2012 – MAY 2016

As you can see on my resume, a lot of my life revolves around baseball. At Rutgers, I was a four-year starter and have placed myself in the record books amongst some of the top baseball players that have come through the school’s program. I was a captain my senior year and believe because of my experience on the Rutgers- Camden baseball team, it has helped my become a more complete person in life. As a college athlete, I was forced to balance a pretty hectic schedule with school, baseball, while also working small side jobs. Because of baseball, my ability to work with others, work ethic, time management,, and self-discipline have become strengths of mine.

ELECTRCIAN’S APPRENTICE – K/C ELECTRIC – DECEMBER 2010- AUGUST 2011

I worked as an electrician’s apprentice for about nine months. I was able to learn some of the trade and enjoyed the knowledge and lessons my boss, Mike Connor, taught me. He taught me a lot about accountability, what a strong work ethic is, and what it can translates into. I can say even though I only worked for Mike for a short period of time, he was the best boss I have had, and most importantly the best teacher in my time of employment.
