I am currently employed at the front desk at Victoria Inn Flin Flon and work all 3 different shifts. The morning shift is primarily the checking out of our guests promptly, efficiently and most importantly with a friendly attitude and smile on my face. Afternoons, I greet the guests to the hotel and check them into their rooms also quickly and efficiently while also answering the phone and directing the calls to where the caller wants to be connected to. During this shift, I have to make quick decisions that will ensure an unhappy guest becomes extremely pleased with the outcome of any issue they may have while also adhering to the parameters set by head office. Night Audit shift is the calculation of the various departments daily receipts, replenishing the cash floats for the Night Clubs various sections, ensuring the daily monetary amounts are accurately entered into the accounting balance sheet for the accounting department to review the next day and preparing each departments paperwork for the upcoming day along with the passing of any messages or important functions for that day to the correct person/department. During all shifts we are taking reservations for upcoming stays for guests, directing phone calls, answering emails, ensuring Purchase Orders for room stays are received and all general cleaning duties.
