Position Held : Sr. Designer - Pipeline (Engineering Services)

Worked for various EPIC, external FEED and In-house FEED projects which involved the following major activities:

Extensive site visits, participation in design review meetings, HAZOP and Integrity assessment of subsea & onshore pipelines.

ADMA-OPCO : Offshore khuff gas development project

Zakum Field : Replacement of 35 nos. of approx. 165kms submarine water injection pipelines and 110 nos. of risers in various diameters ranging between 10” to 20” and associated topside modification works at west and central super complexes and 36 wellhead towers.

Umm Shaif Field : Installation of 2 nos. 14kms of gas pipelines and 4 nos. of 24” risers and tie-in spools at US40/56, US40/24 wellhead towers to HAP-USSC super complex.

ZADCO: New 14” dia. west oil trunk line including risers with piggybacked fibre optic cable (11.2km) from west satellite to central complex as a replacement to an existing 18” WOTL.

Qatar Petroleum:

BH/BH-D07 Development project - 14” L.P. bulk line and 2 nos. 6” H.P. bulk line and a Gas Lift line with piggyback Umbilical (16 km) between PS3B to BH-M05 and BH-SC Platforms.

Maydan Mahzam Field Project - 16” and 6” HP and LP Bulk lines (11km) and 8” Gas Lift lines (5km) between MM-G08 and PS-2C Platforms.

Offshore Halul Island - 10” Disposal Water line with 3mm thk. internal CRA cladding with 84mm dia. piggyback Umbilical (2.561km) Halul Island to WDP Platform.

Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd: Idd El Shargi North Dome Field Development Project

Maersk Oil Qatar AS (platform locations A, B, C, D, E, F, NFA, NNE and SPM2):

Plan 2005: 31 nos. of risers and clamps, 22 nos. of pipelines 250kms and 7 J-tubes for block 5 field development of Al Shaheen Field, Qatar. Approx. 260km submarine pipelines in various diameters ranging between 6” to 24”.

Plan 2001: 21 nos. of risers and clamps, 16 nos. of pipelines 105km. 10” to 20” crude oil, export/gas and W.I. risers.

Qatar Liquefied Gas Co. Ltd. (QG II) :

LNG Expansion Development Project: Material estimation for EPC tendering purpose of Offshore facilities consists of three new Platforms WH4, WH5, WH6 and refurbishment work on existing Platforms, two new 34” export Pipelines from WH4 and WH6 Platforms to Ras Laffan Shore (91km and 81km) with Expansion Loops, two 16” Flowlines from WH5 Platform to the subsea tie-in to export lines (232m and 781m) internal cladding with C.R.A. and several new Power and/or communications Umbilicals to support two new LNG trains at Ras Laffan city.

Pipeline facilities for the Ras Gas expansion project: Preparation of Pipeline routings and Material estimation of 38”, 24” and 22” dry Gas and wet Gas lines (appx. 265km) and 113km of Power and Communication submarine cables in infield and to the Ras Laffan shore.

ADOC: Zero flaring project: Scope of work was installation of 8” infield Oil line from AA-P Platform to CFP Platform in Mubarraz field and a 14” Main Oil line (35km) from CFP Platform to Mubarraz Island.

National Iranion Oil Co. and Shell Exploration BV: Soroosh and Nowrooz Integrated Field Development Project: Joint venture with Technip, NPCC and Naft Sazeh Qeshm: work scope included Detailed engineering, Fabrication and Offshore installation of 22” emulsion export Pipeline from NPP-2 (Nowrooz Field) to SPP-2 (Soroosh Field) 49km, 18” Nowrooz infield Crude Oil line and 93mm dia. Power cable from NWP-1 to NPP-2 (7km), 16” Soroosh infield Pipeline and 95mm dia. H.V. Power cable from SWP-2 to SPP-1 (4km) and three Process Platforms (NPP-2, SPP-1 and SPP-2), two Wellhead Platforms (NWP-1 and SWP-2), two Living Quarters (NLQ and SLQ) and three interconnecting Bridges.

Total Exploration and Production, Qatar: Al Khalij field development Offshore Pipelines and Cables: EP, IC and Offshore installation of a 20” Pipeline (43km) and Power cable between Al Khalij field to Halul Island. Installation of 3 infield Pipelines at Al Khalij field (20km).

ONGC: B and S-NH4 wellhead platforms project-II: Preparation of detail drawings for pipelines, risers, riser clamps, J/I-tubes for 25km of 20” and 8” W.F. pipelines, 8km of 10” W.I. line and 2” piggybacked I.A. line between VSEA, BCPA-2, VW and BA platforms in Bassein field and 8km of 12” W.F. line, 10km of 6” and 10” gas lines, 2.5km of 6” flexible W.I. line and 16km of 4” dia. 6.6 KV subsea power cables between HZ, HRG, HG, HB platforms in Heera field.
