PROJECTS
• For Slider-Crank mechanism, determined position, velocity and acceleration of connecting rod and slider block.
• In a Four-Bar linkage, determined orientation, angular velocity and acceleration of coupler, rocker and crankshaft.
• Transformation matrix defining orientation of rigid body with respect to another body o Used method of Direction Cosines.
• Develop equations of motion for Two-link Robotic System and Four-bar mechanism o Used Augmented Formulation and Embedding Technique.
• HVAC - Heating and Cooling Loads for a House
o Calculated Heating Loads using U-factor for walls (including windows and doors) and roof, foundation and infiltration.
o Calculated Cooling Loads (hourly) using SCL and ICL for windows, CLTD and ICL for glass, walls and roof, for finding Maximum Cooling Load Value.
• Heat Gain from Roof
o Used Parallel Path method, Isothermal Plane method.
• Sun’s altitude, Solar time, Azimuth angle for horizontal, vertical and inclined surface for any location on Earth.
• Number of Degree days and fuel required to heat a home.
• Heat Transfer in an Extended Surface (Fin) using 4th Order Runge-Kutta Method and Matlab.
o Used Shooting Method for calculating third guess. o The temperature profile of the fin is governed by second-order Ordinary Differential Equation.
• Automatic Sketching – Made a 2D Printer using Arduino UNO microcontroller to coordinate motion between 2 separate stepper motors and a lead screw apparatus for X and Y axes.
• Multi-Objective Genetic Algorithm in Reverse Logistics with Case Study.
