Lead a team of 35 people, in headquarter and in eight different plants around the country. I was in charge of Materials and Production Planning, Local and International Purchasing, Distribution and Inventory Management, Importation process, with focus on cost reduction, Outsourcing of transportation service, focusing on high service level and low cost. Local and International Purchasing. Implementation of S&OP, to align sales needs to the company’s resources.

Achievements:

Implementation of a new Customer service model, with CUSTOMER SERVICE, PLANNING and LOGISTICS. As a result, Service Level increased from 70% to 90%.

Evaluating the sales per channel and per product, proposing new Portfolio Policy, that contributed to simplify the operation, reducing cost, and increase the service level.

Renegotiation of 3rd Part Contract with big customers, in order to reduce cost and increase the service level. Basically, these were contracts to make products under the customer brand, using their rolling forecast, policies and requirements. The renegotiation implied new conditions and parameters for these mentioned points.

Regional Sourcing of materials to supply Operations in South America (Brazil, Argentina and Chile). Also starting direct importation for the Brazilian Operation. As a result, variable cost dropped by 5%.

Lead a team of 17 people at Atibaia’s Plant. I was in charge of Materials and Production Planning, and Inventory Management. The company had strong operation of Importation and Exportation, involving customers and suppliers in South America, Europe, US, India and Middle East. I was responsible for Distribution of components and finished goods to customers in all Brazilian regions. Outsourcing of several services to cover the production bottlenecks: heat treatment, mechanical machining.

Achievements:

Startup of Brazilian Italtractor operation: hiring team, implementing system, defining lay out, and finding partners and suppliers. Production started within 5 months after kick off meeting in Italy.

Negotiation with OEM Customers to improve the Ordering Parameters (view of 4 months ahead, % of accepted variation along the 4 months, service level).

Adoption of kanban methodology to control the production. As a result, inventory turn increased from 3 to 5.5 turns, and production lead time reduced from 3 to 2 weeks (average).

Startup of Bar Code management System for Receiving, Storage and Shipping. Thus, our entry and shipping process became faster and more reliable.
