Assisted the records management program with a cross-walk inventory of current records control schedules (RCS) with NARA’s updated General Records Schedule (GRS), reviewing over 600 scheduled items and mapping more than half to the GRS.

Provided consulting and a proposal for the records management program electronic records management system (ERMS) and applied records management expertise concerning complex records management lifecycle rules, procedures, and operations in accordance with 44 U.S.C, 36 CFR, NARA Regulations and Guidance, and agency policy.

November 2017 – July 2018

ODNI – Persecta – Records SME

Polished the ODNI’s consolidated RCS production and implementation plan, meeting with NARA representatives for final review prior to implementation.

Hosted the ODNI annual Records and Information Management Month (RIMM) event with discussions on the OMB M-12-18 Directive deadline and NARA’s 2018-2022 Strategic Plan initiative.

Consultant to records management initiatives during agency transition developing a records management outreach program and recommendation to implement a more innovative and efficient records management program throughout the ODNI.

Organized and led the ODNI’s consolidated RCS production and implementation plan. Skillfully consolidating over 400 scheduled items into less than 50 items. Coordinated pre-NARA review and prerequisite approval with the chief of staff and OGC culminating in a streamlined and efficient methodology for offices to quickly identify, file, and disposition their records

Consultant to records management sub-committee goals establishing 140 records management requirements for inclusion with the IC ITE DTE Phase II solution in effort to meet OMB M-12-18 Directive to manage all permanent electronic records electronically by 2019.

Provided critical review and comments for annual reports to NARA, guidance to ODNI customers and senior staff, and updates to ODNI’s information management policies.

Review electronic recordkeeping systems being implemented by ODNI offices and provide guidance for system approval or recommendation for non-approval.

Worked with new branch chief to qualitatively and quantitatively define the many roles and responsibilities of the IMD records branch. Provided valuable input at team meetings and in developing standard operating procedures to improve the efficiency of the records management team.

Chief architect in developing and publishing ODNI’s first records management brochure and guide to assist customers with their recordkeeping responsibilities.

Provided numerous records management training briefings in a number of fora: preparation for the POTUS transition, DNI Executive Secretariat’s meetings, NCTC onboarding class, new knowledge management council, and a personalized presentation for the OGC and his immediate staff. Consistently called upon to be the spokesman on records management missions and priorities for the Information Management Division (IMD) at staff-level meetings or briefings.
