Manage reliability engineering and environmental compliance. Activities included working with the plant to maintain environmental compliance and moving from time based to condition based maintenance, preparing root cause analysis, equipment criticality review and preventative maintenance optimization.
Generating Creative Business Solutions
Developed and implemented rebuild of auxiliary boilers rather than replacing them at a savings of approximately $8 million.
Managed design and modification of plant feed water purification system to obtain a higher quality water with greater system reliability with an annual cost savings providing full cost recovery in less than 5 years.

Managed a team of turbine engineers to develop modifications to a control valve found at only 4 other plants in the United States to obtain service time between repairs greater than twice achieved at the other plants with the same valves.
Completed analysis of projects totally more than $50 million for reliability and maintainability and making design modifications to economically maximize reliability of the equipment.

Environmental Manager (2000-2008)
Manage all activities related to environmental compliance for power generation and transmission across multiple states. Activities include obtaining environmental permits and approvals, serving as key liaison with regulatory agencies and staff, development of environmental management systems, supervision of company and contract employees, preparation of annual and long- range work plans and budgets, maintaining effective communication with internal and external stakeholders and managing environmental construction projects as needed. Serve as the primary contact for all safety chemistry issues where environmental and safety overlapped.
Creative Solutions
Negotiated a revision to an existing Missouri regulation, which resulted in savings of $24 million in capital expense and $2 million in annual operating expense.
Developed Environmental Management System which resulted in no environmental non-compliance notifications from regulatory agencies after it was implemented.
Managing Projects and People
Responsible for managing in excess of $100 million in projects from gaining approval from management for the project funding to completion of the projects with all projects completed on time and within budget.
Provided environmental integration support and staff management so integration was achieved without environmental compliance issues resulting from the merger.
