INTERNSHIP:
•Name of Company: Ashok Iron Works PVT. LTD.
ln core making sand, resin binder, and catalyst as binder are used. The core is then subjected to core dressing and finally assembled.
In molding process, the green sand which is typically composed of sand, clay carbonaceous material and water is used as the core medium for mold.
Once the molten metal has been treated to achieve the desired properties, it is transferred to the pouring area in refractory lined ladles.
The solidified metal component is then removed from its mold mechanically. This frees the casting from the sand, which is still attached to the metal runners and gates: these are the channels through which the molten metal travelled to reach the component itself.
