Network Rail – (August 2019 – Present)

Project Planner (Contractor)

My current role as Planner in Network rail involves me interacting and becoming a key member of the project delivery team providing a quality service to support the effective delivery of the project.

Responsibilities include:

• Interacting and supporting the effective information sharing / collection with all the project partners in an appropriate manner.

• Preparing a project work breakdown structure and plan / schedule which can deliver the project objectives and providing effective project performance measurement and reporting

• Developing the appropriate quality plan / schedule in line with the project scheduling principles and processes.

• Monitoring and progress the plan / schedule and make changes as required.

• Develop recovery schedules and contingency plans to meet changed objectives as necessary.

Input the planning issues into the project’s critical issues risk log.

• Review planning risks and monitor whether the risk register is updated accordingly.

Abellio Greater Anglia – (December 2018 – August 2019)

Project Planner (Contractor)

I worked on a programme of works circa £300 million. I assisted in the design of the master project schedule and ensure integrity of data in all project life cycle and prepare required reports to provide support to all clients.

Responsibilities include:

Prepare an efficient Master Schedule and maintain the progress of all key project milestones from contractor and subcontractor programmes.

Coordinate and organise multiple sources of project data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required

Collaborate with all cross functional team to maintain quality assurance for all activities.

Perform audits on various plans and prepare all required documents

Provide support to all process control operations and recommend improvements.

Assist to identify and resolve all issues in normal operations and manage all communication for all schedule disruption.

ADComms-Panasonic – (August 2018 – December 2018)

Project Planner (Contractor)

At ADComms I was exposed to all levels of the project lifecycle. I worked closely with clients and collected actual data from various other stakeholders to build project plans using Primavera P6. I also maintained the project schedule and developed reliable schedule forecasts with support from project teams. I liaised with managers and engineers to discuss the progress of the project each period and addressed any issues that arose with mitigations.

Responsibilities include:

Produce tender plans to support bids

Plan, coordinate and monitor activities of assigned projects to develop and implement procedures, processes and systems.

Identifying early warnings of potential conflicts/issues and ensuring action is undertaken as required in a timely manner.

Network Rail – (August 2016 – August 2018)

Planning Assistant (September 2017 – August 2018)

As a Planning Assistant I support the production of project and programme planning information to support the delivery of all projects across the southern rail routes. I liaise with the project teams providing supporting reports including Earned Value and milestone reports with a focus on continuous improvement highlighting and interrogating plans which may not adhere to our internal standards. My role also involves supporting the Principle Project Planner with interfacing all other departments and external stakeholders to confirm all involved parties are aware of their responsibilities.

Responsibilities included:

Preparing project plans capable of delivering project objectives as directed by key project stakeholders and suppliers, entering these plans in to Primavera and developing contingency plans in order to meet changed objectives.

Assisting the Principle Project Planner by obtaining and loading resourcing and cost forecasts to support plans and monitoring the progress to plan making changes as required by the project team.

Provide support to the Project Controls reporting staff and support the assurance of the quality of project plans/schedules in line with the functional processes in place.

Section Planner Administrator (August 2016 – September 2017)

As a Section Planner, I am responsible for developing detailed, fully resourced work plans for the Works Delivery Off-Track team. This includes producing plans that optimise all work activities within the time scale and volume specified. Using the Possession Planning System (PPS) I search for access and possessions and plan and build worksites within these possessions. I also aid in my teams reporting process and. My role also involves me using various other systems to aid in my planning including:

NROL- used to order engineering trains and materials for the worksites.

Procurement- COOM requester – used to order requisitions and invoices.

Primavera- used to capture the most up to date data which I use to update my team’s weekly Readiness Report.

Transport for London (TfL)

Project Support - Fit for the Future- Stations Programme (FftF-Stations) (March 2014 – August 2016)

My role as a Project Support Officer for the FftF- Stations programme involved me planning and scheduling the training for over 5000 London Underground Operational staff in time for the new operational model structure that is set to improve the level of customer service provided on the whole London Underground Network.

Responsibilities included:

To provide full project support to the Fit for Future- Station projects including co-ordination of training course bookings and assisting with transition coverage.

To update the project schedule and risk register using MS project and Active Risk Manager.

To operate administrative and information systems including, SAP R3, SharePoint and Microsoft Office to produce reports and presentations.

To provide pro-active management of courses and support including early identification and escalation of issues, risks and opportunities for improvement.

Support Fit for the Future stations project management team as appropriate.

Elizabeth Norman International (July 2013-February 2014)

Recruitment Resourcer: My role at ENI required me to source out the best candidate to work with our clients through networking and advertisement and selling potential opportunities to candidates. Responsibilities include:

Excellent Communication: Using exceptional communication skills to liaise between clients and candidates to make sure the recruitment process runs smoothly on both ends.

b)The design and completion of an independent final year research project involving 80 participants, researching a link between personality variables and spending behaviours in undergraduate students, utilising both quantitative and qualitative research methods

c)Frequent use of IT skills, with most of the statistical analysis done through SPSS, and recurrent use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Online survey systems such as SurveyMonkey.com were also used for certain projects.
