KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AS FACILITIES MANAGER

o The overall responsibility and accountability for the planning and monitoring work programs and schedules for various sections based on maintenance schedules, inspections and work requirements; responsible for the infrastructure and physical operations including health, safety, security and administrative processes for the College.

o Planning and administering the Departments budget allocation, and approval of all expenditures from the budget.

o Manage FM functions, space planning, asset management, receiving and shipping, central office supplies store, mail room service and risk management program. o In the area of staff development, recognizes the areas where further training and development is required and acts accordingly. Evaluates staff performance and conduct staff reviews. Handles disciplinary matters.

o Preparation of accurate and detailed plans, specifications, and tender documents for all service contracts required for the physical operation of the campus and ancillary services.

o Effective administration and performance evaluation of various service contracts; this includes ensuring appropriate planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules are in place and are strictly adhered to, inspecting sites, approving work orders, approving payments etc.

o Ensure compliance with regulatory and policy requirements; liaising with local authorities and government agencies for all requirements related to campus operation and staff accommodation.

o Ensure projects are completed according to specification, within budget and on schedule.

o Develops and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth operation of the campus, property and equipment is protected, and all life safety matters are dealt with.

KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES AS PROCUREMENT MANAGER

(College of The North Atlantic-Qatar- From 2010 to 2019 (Additional Responsibility)) o Development and monitor the implementation of Procurement Department’s procedures, processes, guidelines.

o Monitor performance of the Procurement Department’s to ensure quality per established standards and guidelines.

o Ensure that the necessary specifications for required services and materials are developed, captured (in collaboration with relevant stakeholders) and included in the tender document. Lead the technical evaluation process and commercial evaluation on technically acceptable bids.

o Oversee preparation of award recommendations for successful bidders and subsequent preparation contract.

o Lead the development and implementation of business planning and continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and effectiveness of services. o Develop and sustain proactive relationships with suppliers, service providers and contractors to get optimal combination of quality and cost o Lead meetings with suppliers and service providers to negotiate contracts and service- level agreements to get optimal combination of quality and cost and to resolve discrepancies, if any.

OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT

o Planning, management and implementation of best practices using contracting framework in integrated facilities management, services, operation and maintenance for 20 buildings (over 75,000 Sq M) using a computer aided facility management system - FAMIS.

o Managing the facility with the highest standard of service, efficient administration of all service contracts required for physical operation of the campus and monitoring contractor’s performance.

o Management of asset and property valued over 700 million QAR o Management of state of the art technologies including Building Management Systems

(BMS), Fire Alarm Detection & Suppression Systems, Access Control and Security Systems

o Administration of “Facilities Help Desk”, use of a customer focused approach and single point of contact for facilities and staff accommodation services o Coordination of technical and administrative work involving the initiation, planning, organization, implementation and supervision of building maintenance, operations and service program

o Ensure planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedule for building systems and equipment, service contracts, laboratory equipment are in place and are strictly followed

o Oversee logistics and facilitation of both small and large-scale events at an educational institution e.g. registration, examinations, exhibitions, corporate events o Liaison with landlords for preparation, allocation and maintenance of over 500 staff accommodations units

ASSET AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT

o Developing policy and procedures for acquisition, usage, maintenance and disposal of fixed assets (retired and or obsolete assets).

o Identify need for Procurement of Asset; Initiate procurement action, coordination of supply, delivery, installation, commissioning and training as required. o Developing strategic planning to ensure College assets continue to operate in an efficient, safe, and reliable manner and that the College’s long-term facility needs are met; liaise with Laboratory Coordinators and ensure service contracts are in place for all laboratory equipment and planned preventive maintenance and regular servicing program is strictly followed.

o Supervise and ensure asset inventory of all asset is maintained and periodical verification process is followed.

o Responsible for allocation and relocation of inventoried assets, ensure list of surplus assets is up to date and identifies opportunities for redistribution of the same. o Management of Central Office Supplies Store to cater the need of the campus. QUALITY ASSURANCE
