Duties
To liaise and cooperate with Front office to ensure allocated rooms are ready prior to the guest arrival.
To be constantly aware of the room status to obtain maximum vacant rooms for sale.
To liaise and cooperate with the Engineering department for room maintenance and faults.
To check VIP rooms prior to guest arrival and thereafter daily to ensure that the standard is maintained for the duration of the guest stay.
Ensure that pantries are properly stocked with linen, guest supplies, cleaning supplies according to the established par stock.
Assist in the training of the Housekeeping personnel in line with SOP manual.
Carries out other duties assigned by the Executive Housekeeper or Housekeeping Manager
Allocates room to attendants according to the system implemented in the hotel.
Ensures that a complete handover is done at the end of every shift, logging any relevant information or requests.
Understands and adheres to all fire safety procedures.

Clean and sanitize public areas using established practice and procedure.
Wash, dry and fold all linens in the laundry room. Launder cleaning rags etc.
Maintaining the cleanliness and work-ability of all public areas.

Acts as first line of defence for guest complaints and involves Lead PAA, Team Leader, Resort Supervisor and/or Executive Manager in resolution of issues.
