Research on the hardware and software development and the estimation of the overall system performance of DC micro grids with maximum power point tracking focusing on the application of thermo-electric generators TEGs and the electrical system performance.

Awarded Full research scholarship and International Excellence Award (IEA). Co-Authored a publication about the implementation of neural networks for automotive batteries to determine certain properties as a part of course work. Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University.

A Total Grade equivalent to 3.23 GPA "with Honors". Ranked 3rd in class group and among the top 3% students from all the engineering departments. Coursework includes: Robotics, Power Electronics, Automatic Control, Machine Design, Modeling and Simulation, Programming (C/C++) and CNC Programming.

Co-Authored a journal publication in an experimental automotive research study 2011.

Experience in Control systems, Robotics, Modeling and Simulation, Machine Design, Embedded engineering, Programming and Finite Element Analysis gained through courses and student projects.

Delivered several projects such as: Tele-manipulated Robotic Arm Using WiiMote, Development of A Piezoelectric Energy Harvester Subjected to Magnetic Constraining Field, Dx Ball game development (OOP C++) and the mechanical design of a Can crusher and a monorail trolley.

RESEARCH AND

WORK

EXPERIENCE

McMaster University Sep 2015 — June 2018

Faculty of engineering, Ain Shams

University

Feb 2013 — Sep 2015

Research and Teaching assistant

Worked as a Research assistant in the thermal management and research laboratory (TMRL) under the TEG POWER project which aims to develop novel exhaust gas energy harvesting and recirculation systems. http://tmrl.mcmaster.ca/wp/

Developed a Full Thermo-electric based DC- Microgrid system model that is able to predict the overall performance of a system over a daily cycle. The system includes Thermo-electric generators, Heat exchanger, Maximum Power Point Tracker

(MPPT), Energy storage and Variable loads. The system was developed via Simulink and is intended to replicate a real life system performance. Designed a control algorithm for a (Test Kitchen) setup that automates the operation of the whole system, this setup is designed to test the performance and viability of an Energy harvesting system based on Thermo-electric generators in commercial restaurants as a part of Gen III (P.O.W.E.R) project. Worked as a Teaching assistant in the Composite Laboratory course for undergraduate mechanical engineering students.
