Activities: As the Associate Dean of the School of Natural Sciences I am in charge of 3 Departments – Life and Physical Sciences, Agriculture and Food Science and Technology. Recruited and appointed staff, initiated collaboration with partners in NGO and in Government of Rwanda.

Inter disciplinary Research Coordinator (Assistant Programs Director), March 2008 to June 2011 Wildlife Conservation Society, Tanzania Program. Iringa, Tanzania Company Profile: International not for profit organization focusing on wildlife conservation and landscape management in major biodiversity areas of the world. The Tanzania program is involved in wildlife conservation close to Protected Areas and with local communities including improving their livelihoods. Achievements: Increased community awareness of wildlife and use of natural resources to increase livelihoods. Increased rural community incomes from tourism and supply of water for multiple uses. The local community gained interest in wildlife protection and the killing of wildlife decreased to zero. Published several research papers on this and related issues.
