which will host matches in the 2022 FIFA World
Cup Qatar™ (the Tournament). The Stadium will
be designed and constructed to meet the
Federation lnternationale de Football Association
(FIFA) standards.

removable seats and other modular ‘building
blocks’, not only will this innovative, 40,000-seat venue have a remarkable design, but it will be

Will host FIFA World Cup matches up to the
quarter-final stage with a capacity of 40,000
seats. Al-Thumama Stadium plot area is
515,400sqm that already comprises four outdoor
training pitches and office facilities currently used by the Qatar Football Association Technical
Committee. The stadium will have a reduced
capacity of 20,000 seats in its post tournament
legacy mode as part of the SC’s modular stadium
legacy plans.
