Sample of parts made include: Fasteners, air bag components, aerospace components, threaded and non-threaded screws, hexagon bolts, all of which may require using stainless steel, steel, copper, aluminum, brass, titanium. Perform change overs, set-ups and basic maintenance on up to three Acme screw machines in a safe, timely and proficient manner. Proficient in reading blue prints and layouts as well as modifying layout plans to ensure a better or faster set-up of machine. Routinely re-tool machines using cold grinder, cup wheel grinder or lathe to ensure the machine will consistently hold tolerances as low as .0002 Perform hourly check outs on all machines using 1-3 inch digital and non-digital dial calipers, depth mics, blade mics, O.D. Mics, dial indicator, comparator and eye loop to identify any errors in the finished product and make adjustments as needed to the machine. Help others in the shop as needed as well as sort out defective parts when time allowed.
