Currently holding a position as Lab Manager in Core Lab with True Health in Richmond, VA 23219. Seeking a position with which I can use my experience and background as a generalist.

Qualifications
Extensive experience with clinical laboratories in the following departments: Hematology, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Chemistry, Immunoassay and A1C testing.
Experience in calibrating, and performing daily/monthly maintenance on following platforms: Beckman AU 5800, Roche Cobas 8000, Beckman DXH 800, Beckman SMS, and the IRIS urinalysis systems.
Experience using Beckman automates, sample sorting and sample aliquoting system.
Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and aseptic techniques as well as PPE
Comfortable working independently and in team environments
Experience reviewing and updating QC on all of the patient testing platforms. Review and updating all of the SOPs related to the patient testing and testing platforms.
Comfortable using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Employment History
True Health – Richmond VA. 9/2015 to current
Assistant Manager/ Lab Manager in Core Lab. Daily management of a department with 25 employees on all 3 shifts. Multiple testing platforms: QC, QA oversight, inventory management for all testing platforms. Core Lab currently runs ~ 120 different assays each day on a sample volume of about 1400 samples submitted for testing. Depended on by upper management to provide training to new hires. Performed validation on new reagents to ensure they fall in range of the manufactures standards. Current platforms: Beckman AU5800, Roche Cobas, 801/602s. Beckman Coulter DXH 800/SMS. Current computer system is Orchard which includes, Harvest and Copia.
Health Diagnostic Labs – Richmond VA: 5/2010-9/2015
Second shift supervisor/ Hematology supervisor: Responsible for the daily completion of samples submitted for chemistry and immunoassay testing.
Responsible for employee training and oversight of the instruments, PM, QC, handling any complications as well as compliance regarding the testing performed in the hematology department.

Microbiology Tech: Responsible for the daily completion, work up and identification of organisms on samples submitted for body fluid culture, throat cultures, urine cultures, respiratory and blood cultures.

Generalist (third shift): Generalist: Prepared reagents, quality controls, and patient specimens for lab testing in the areas of coagulation, hematology, and clinical chemistry as well as blood bank testing for a large trauma hospital lab which managed about 500 sample per night.
