Project info: The HMD South Satellite Revamping Project is a Project of Algeria’s state oil company Sonatrach. The project involves the installation of inlet separation system at 5 satellites; HP flares at 5 satellites and LP; ATM flare at 7 satellites; New substation and control building at 7 satellites; Replace fire water pumps (diesel, Motor and Jockey); Instrument Gas Dryer; Replace exiting instruments, manual valves, cables, MCC; Add and replace crude oil export pumps in addition to Pipeline and Gathering System (Sub-Manifold (26); New HP Oil Trunk line, Export Pipeline to Industrial South Center; East and West Manifold and junction; Shutdown valves at wellhead.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Managing more than 45 HSE personnel (04 equipment inspectors, 03 scaffolding inspectors, 03 HSE Trainers, 01 Lifting Supervisor, 02 Environmental Engineers, 02 HSE Clerks, 32 HSE supervisors)

Developing and implementing suitable safe systems of work, risk assessments & mitigations and project HSSE Plan.

Ensuring that the Project HSSE Plan is complied with by Contractor and Sub-contractors and that relevant company HSSE Management System and Emergency Response documentation are established, implemented and maintained at the site

Trained over than 7000 project employees and visitors (Client, Company & Subcontractors) through a variety of delivery methods in different HSE training courses that aided in building a positive safety culture on site which influenced in an overall reduction in the total recordable incidents rate of 20% in 2 years.

Developed and structured more than 30 HSE related training courses (such as: Work at Height, Confined space, Lifting & Rigging…etc) in multiple languages and maintained all training materials in compliance with International standards, company, and local safety requirements.
