They have a transactional system AMDOC with Oracle database. Our EDW is in Vertica Database. We extract data from the AMDOC system where the database is Oracle then we load all tables to a staging layer in Vertica database by using SAP BODS ETL tool, then after necessary data massaging and cleansing we loaded the date to the next layer Lookup, Dimension, Fact and Summary.
It’s a very critical enterprise data warehousing project with huge numbers of tables in each layers and having very complex business logic for data validation. Every day we need to extract date from source by using our BODS jobs and load the data to target tables in diff. diff. Layers of our EDW.
The Client Management use our EDW for report generation for various business requirement and analysis.
