Project: Ridge to Reef – Youth leaders Camp (Mentor) Project Duration: December 2015 – March 2016

Project synopsis:

Ridge-to-Reef is a camp on ecological conservation targeted to the youth leaders of Cagayan de Oro’s riverside barangays and I.P. communities in Bukidnon. The main objective of the project is to spread awareness through the youth on the importance of maintaining ecological balance between the community in the ridges and to those community by the sea. The project was done in light to the recent devastation of typhoon “sendong” that destroyed communities along the Cagayan River. Project: TuroKatutubo

Project synopsis:

Mindanaw Tribal School is one of two tribal schools operating in Bukidnon. The purpose of Mindanaw tribal school is to educating their youth whilst preserve the culture of their tribes. The students of the school does not pay any money and the school is only run by a small fund from the provincial government. The project aims to capacitate the I.P youth on how to propose projects, how to connect to several stakeholders, how to pitch and lobby projects for their community and how to manage projects. The I.P youth participants where group into 5 and came up with projects that they implemented for 2 months in their community.
