Clearstream Energy – Cenovus Foster Creek, AB – 2017- Present

Responsible for installation, repair and testing of piping systems for an operating SAGD facility. In depth understanding and interpretation of drawings and specifications to determine tools and equipment required to execute jobs safely and efficiently. Provide as-builts, documentation and participate in turnover activities with quality control team. Understand and provide leadership with rigging and installation requirements.

Pre-Commissioning Foreman

Site Energy Services – K+S Legacy Potash Mine – Bethune, SK – 2016 – 2017

Provide frontline leadership for the pre-commissioning team activities at the K+S Legacy Potash project.. Ensure thorough piping system inspections completed for conformity and quality according to all approved as-builts and IFC documentation. Identify all deficiencies and communicate findings to senior management. Verify readiness for commissioning according to project specifications.

Provided leadership to contractor superintendents in meeting schedule and execution objectives. Worked closely with management, engineering and contractors to ensure execution plans were followed and milestones achieved. Assisted engineering in resolution to RFI’s. Provided leadership to contractor superintendents in meeting safety, schedule and execution objectives. Adco North Ltd – Yellowknife, NT – 2003 – 2006

Planned and executed several projects required for an expanding diamond mine. Worked closely with engineering and operations to safely execute many shutdown and tie-in activities. Ensured all safety requirements were met or exceeded to ensure projects were completed with zero incidents. Successful completion of many challenging projects in an extreme environment. Volunteered as an active member of the Ekati Mine Rescue Team.

Coordinated manpower and equipment requirements for 2002 plant shutdown. Worked closely with plant operations in planning and execution of scheduled shutdown activities. Ensured all safety requirements were in place and work executed with zero incidents. Performed continuous inspection and walk-downs of work packages to ensure all steps completed to client and personal expectation.

Quinn Construction Ltd – 2000 – 2001

Performed various commissioning and start-up activities required for a brown field hydrocarbon plant. Large bore piping/valve installation using professional rigging practices. Executed many project tasks working under SCBA. Ensured all permitting requirements were reviewed, understood and followed. Volunteered as a member of the contractor high angle rescue team.

Maintenance Pipefitter

Fletcher Challenge Canada – Mackenzie, BC – 1996 – 2000

Performed various duties required of a maintenance pipefitter in an operating kraft pulp mill. Lead pipefitter on the recovery boiler upgrade project. Executed many emergency shut-down tasks to ensure minimal impact to mill operations. Volunteered as safely lead for the mechanical team.
