Responsibilities & Achievements

1. Analysis of Crude oil received from different fields includes light Sweet, Light Sour and Heavy crudes from various oil wells.

2. Analysis of Plant process samples of distillation units, Reformer, Isomerization, Hydrogen, Diesel Desulfurizer, Sour Water Unit and Amine Plant according to standard test methods of ASTM, UOP and AASHTO.

3. Analysis of Finished Petroleum Products includes Liquefied Petroleum Gas, Naphtha, Gasoline, Kerosene, Mineral Turpentine oil, Jet Aviation Fuel, High Speed Diesel, Diesel fuel oil, Furnace fuel oil, Asphalt and Polymer modified Bitumen for compliance with PSQCA, Ministry of Petroleum and AFQRJOS Specifications.

4. Analysis of non-routine sludge and scale samples collected during plant shut downs or collected from any storage tank.

5. Analysis of Lube oil received from Power Plant and Distillation Units.

6. Joint testing with customers in order to build mutual confidence and resolve complaints.

7. Preparation of various types of analysis reports in Attock Refinery LIMS system

8. Analysis of Drinking water and process water e.g. pH, Chloride, Sulfide, Phosphates, Iron (Fe2+), Calcium Hardness, Magnesium Hardness, Total Hardness, Total Dissolve Solids, Total Suspended Solids, M Alkalinity, P Alkalinity.

9. Analysis of refinery effluent according to USEPA and ASTM standard testing methods for Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD), Oil & Grease, Total Suspended Solids (TSS), and Total dissolved Solids (TDS) etc.

10. Joint testing with Internal and External Environment observers for National Environment Quality Standard (NEQS) compliance.

11. Reporting the monthly monitoring data with government agencies.

Gas Analysis:

12. Detection of concentration of different gases (H2S, HCL, SO2, H2O and Oxygen) up to ppm level with dragger tubes

13. Detection of Concentration of different gasses (SO2, NO2, Oxygen and Hydrocarbons)by portable Emission Analyzer (LANCOM SERIES II)
